I Have A Dual World Seal
Chapter 1050 - 1049: Settling the Fight in 3 Seconds
"What!?"
"WTF?"
"What did Zhang Weili just say, finish the fight in three seconds, is she joking?"
"She just is a joker!"
The audience inside and outside the arena, at home and abroad, were all stunned.
They’d seen people talk big before, but never this big; even the cockiest trash talkers had only ever claimed they’d finish a fight in a minute, and Zhang Weili was never that kind of arrogant person to begin with, right?
"What happened?"
"Did that ghost chick provoke her off stage?"
People back in Hua Country instinctively assumed Zhang Weili had been bullied and forced into a corner.
"No, Wei Li, calm down, this way you’re walking right into your opponent’s trap!"
"In a fight only the winner gets remembered, Wei Li, settle your mind and fight properly, as long as you win it’s fine!"
"Where’s the coach, hurry up and remind her!"
Compared to the anxious fans in Hua Country, the foreign audience was basically split into two camps.
"Cool! That move from Zhang was so cool!"
"That’s right, smash her! Go all-out from the start, KO her!"
"She’s a clown, three seconds, why didn’t she just say one second?"
"People from Hua Country are all big talkers."
"I wanna see what she can do in three seconds, my bet is she won’t even touch Misha."
Misha, Zhang Weili’s opponent, of course didn’t believe her either, but three seconds was still three seconds; she’d stay extra cautious at the opening.
The person in charge of this UFC event guessed Zhang Weili was venting her dissatisfaction, but...
Let her vent, whatever, as long as the fight is completed normally it’s fine, besides...
Zhang Weili was getting old, while Misha was not only younger but also a Latina from the Lighthouse Country, the perfect candidate for the new champion.
In his heart, the supervisor was hoping Zhang Weili’s mentality would fall apart so she’d lose to Misha; that way they could smoothly complete the passing of the torch and also avoid offending Jinwan Entertainment Group over this "small matter."
Perfect!
On the other side, people from Jinwan Entertainment Group were also on site. Kirk Krona stared coldly at Zhang Weili in the cage, his eyes dark and gloomy.
"She’s provoking us. Find out her full schedule, and everyone around her."
"Yes!" The glamorous woman beside him nodded icily, her cold gaze sweeping over the coaches in Zhang Weili’s front-row team.
...
Whatever the case, Zhang Weili’s words had cranked the atmosphere up again.
"Go! Go! Go!"
"Smash her! Smash her!"
"Dang!"
With the sound of the bell, the fight began.
Misha hunched her shoulders, tucked her chin, both hands guarding near her jaw, her body retreating half a step, one foot in front of the other, guarding while ready at any moment to launch a lightning counter.
But Zhang Weili gave a feral grin and, throwing caution to the wind, sprang straight in.
Only...
She was too fast!
Misha only saw a red blur flash in front of her eyes and Zhang Weili’s figure was already right there.
"WTF!"
Misha panicked, instinctively stepping back as her left fist shot out, trying to force Zhang Weili away.
But Zhang Weili casually pressed down Misha’s left fist, while her own right hook was already fully unleashed and crashed into Misha’s face.
"Bang!"
The arena mics clearly picked up the sound of the impact, and the high-speed cameras captured Misha’s cheek deforming under that punch.
The next moment, Misha felt darkness close in; her body spun half a turn under the force of the blow, then flipped and crashed to the canvas.
Her eyes shut tight as she slipped into unconsciousness.
"KO!" 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
"Oh my god!"
"Zhang Weili threw a punch! Misha is down!"
"One punch, it really was just one punch, Zhang Weili has won, let’s check the time!"
"1.33 seconds, what the hell, from the opening bell to Misha hitting the ground, it was only 1.33 seconds, God, unbelievable!"
After confirming Misha could not continue, the referee declared Zhang Weili the winner, and the arena exploded.
"She really finished it in three seconds!"
"Wei Li, mighty!"
"That was insane!"
"Fighting Queen!"
"She’s defended the title again! Zhang Weili defends the Golden Belt once more, and in absolutely dominant fashion. In her current form, she can definitely rule this weight class for another five years!"
"What the hell just happened?"
"I just looked down to grab a chip, and the fight was over?"
"I’ve got it worse, I just blinked once..."
"Ahhh, I can only watch the replay now, God, send me back to a moment ago, I swear I won’t look at my phone!"
It had all happened too fast, definitely setting a new fastest KO record in UFC, maybe even in all of no-holds-barred MMA.
Face twisted with rage, Zhang Weili swung a heavy fist in the direction of the event supervisor below the cage.
The supervisor shrugged, acting indifferent. He even smiled at Zhang Weili, then picked up the Golden Belt from the display stand and, flanked by staff, stepped into the cage to present it to her.
"Congratulations, Zhang!"
The Host and the supervisor came up from left and right to stand beside the expressionless Zhang Weili, holding out the mic. "Zhang, you’ve defended your title again. Anything you want to say to the audience?"
She looked at the mic in front of her, then at the smiling supervisor beside her. Zhang Weili let out a cold laugh and directly snatched the mic.
"Two hours ago, someone sent me a check and a bullet, telling me to throw this fight on purpose."
"Swoosh—"
The venue instantly fell silent; you could hear a pin drop.
"John wouldn’t let me call the police, said I had no evidence, and that the cops might cancel the fight."
Zhang Weili finished in one breath. "He said he could guarantee my safe return to Hua Country after the fight, but anything after that had nothing to do with him."
The crowd erupted!
Zhang Weili’s account was crystal clear, and the audience weren’t idiots. It was obvious: supervisor John was treating Zhang Weili like cannon fodder, only caring about the immediate moment.
Supervisor John was shocked and furious; his first instinct was to grab the mic away from her. But with a light shove, she sent him staggering aside, and while she was at it, she snatched the Golden Belt from his hand.
"So even if I didn’t call the police, this fight was still going to happen. Not because I was afraid of anyone, but because I wanted to show everyone that I can win."
Zhang Weili glanced at John and snorted dismissively. "At the same time, as a platform that claims to stand for fighting, UFC has really disappointed me. I might as well not have this Golden Belt."
She gave another cold laugh, casually tossed the Golden Belt to the canvas, then stepped on it. "From this moment on, I’m quitting the UFC platform!"
"Bzzzz—"
A burst of static roared through the arena’s speakers, then turned into an earth-shaking cheer.
"We support you!"
"The UFC management are a bunch of cowards!"
"Quit! Quit!"
It had to be said, what Zhang Weili did wasn’t just inspiring as hell, it also hit right on the Lighthouse Country crowd’s sweet spot; the atmosphere in the arena was practically detonating.
Zhang Weili shot a glance at John, who was cowering to the side, wanting to step up but not daring to. "No need to send anyone to escort me to the airport."
With that, she turned and slipped out of the Octagon without looking back, then, surrounded by her coaching team, headed for the backstage area.
