Chapter 637: Terms of the Azure Heaven

Following Marcellin, they arrived at the Azure Palace at the center of the Azure Public Trading Zone.

"Do we need to go here just to register?" one of the War Gods accompanying Nash asked.

Feeling the palace’s unusualness, they felt palpitations in their hearts.

"One can register at any Azure Council Hall. However, as a guest, I naturally have to invite you to my humble abode." Marcellin smiled.

Turning toward Nash, he asked if they should proceed.

"No need to worry, I wouldn’t harm you," Marcellin added.

Seeing through Marcellin’s runic composition, Nash knew he didn’t lie.

It was probably some intimidation tactic, hoping to deter them from making any mistakes.

Entering the palace, they could see everything wrapped in micro arrays, with complexity no less than the Great Array they had in the Sun Star Void Area.

Upon arriving in the living area, Marcellin began asking Nash for more details about their origin.

"I’m from the Chronos Empire. I founded the Neon Star Alliance to take a lifeline in this dangerous world," Nash explained with a sigh.

"Chronos Empire? Indeed, the cosmic elites in your place are truly pitiful. They hadn’t even explained to you the nature of this cosmic competition." Marcellin nodded in understanding.

Having met some teams from the Chronos Empire, he knew they were one of the ignorant ones about the real stakes of the Cosmic Competition.

Gathering a few loose teams to have a chance of survival was a natural course of action.

"Then what do you want to do here?"

"We want to earn some money to support our alliance. We also want to attract more members if possible," Nash said truthfully.

Most of the teams that wanted to establish themselves had the same goal, so Nash didn’t need to hide it.

"Oh? Do you want to join the Azure Heaven Alliance? We welcome everyone with open arms." Marcellin offered.

The large number of battleships wasn’t the only thing that attracted him to the Neon Star Alliance; it was their unity.

He wanted to discern what was in this man, to command such respect despite his low realm.

He could understand unity within the same galactic territory; however, gathering different ethnicities yet having such order, Marcellin could only be amazed.

"Please forgive me, we don’t want to muddle ourselves with such a grand path." Nash quickly shook his head, giving a reason.

"It’s understandable," Marcellin nodded, not taking it to heart.

The Azure Heaven Alliance’s ambition could be seen at a glance.

Although it attracted many cosmic teams, some were filled with fear and apprehension.

Most only wanted to survive and earn as much as they could.

They held no hope for the conquest of this wild, void area.

Especially since it’s one of the primordial galactic territories that had never been conquered before.

After reaping most of the benefits, they would return to their galactic territory, escaping this hellhole.

Thinking the Neon Star Alliance was the same, Marcellin couldn’t help but sigh in disappointment.

Not bothering to investigate further, he quickly processed the Neon Star Alliance’s application and gave them a token made of rare materials.

"This is the Azure Heaven Token. It can access all the virtual world servers, security, and databases of all Azure Heaven Alliance Public Trading Zones and its allies."

"If you want more copies to give your subordinates, you just need to pay the corresponding processing fee."

"Azure Heaven Token?" Tinkering with the token, Nash quickly discovered that it was a virtual interface device, like his Chronos token.

Furthermore, even though not connected to the virtual world, Nash could feel a complete cosmic map of the surrounding domain.

Although it only had pathways to different public trading zones under the Azure Heaven Alliance, Nash couldn’t help but be amazed.

"This map..."

"Haha, it’s the gift of the Azure Heaven Alliance." Marcellin smiled.

Although a map is important, the Azure Heaven Alliance didn’t pay it much mind.

Their goal was this whole galactic territory.

Instead of competing with everyone, they wanted them to become stronger, to become a blade in their hands.

At this stage of the Cosmic Competition, the enemy wasn’t other teams but the Dark Beasts.

To make this unconquerable land survivable, they had to make efforts that point everyone to the peak.

Furthermore, a mere map would give them a massive reputation while helping them earn more money.

Anyway, this trade route only pointed toward themselves and their allies, not to others’ benefit.

"The Azure Heaven Alliance is really generous."

"It’s nothing. As long as you don’t do anything that harms us, even if you are not one of us, you will be protected."

"Is that so? Anyway, do I have to pay for this token?" Nash changed the topic.

He felt that if he continued, the War Gods behind his back might be brainwashed.

It seemed the Azure Heaven Alliance was ready to play a long game, building reputation and becoming the leader of the world.

After all, in such a wild land where everyone’s strength was almost equal, the leader was not seized by force but chosen.

As long as the Azure Heaven Alliance’s reputation spread far and wide, once there was a major conflict, most teams would flock to their side.

While feeling admiration, Nash also felt a greater sense of difficulty in his heart.

At the moment, he couldn’t even fathom how he could overcome this towering mountain.

"The registration is free, and so is the token. However, if you want to establish yourself here, you surely need a massive tract of land."

"How is this allocated? Is there any limit or requirement when choosing a land?"

"There are three methods to get land. First, you join the Azure Heaven Alliance as an ally; second, you buy it from the available land pool; and third, you pay for the construction to build it."

"What is the difference between option two and three?"

"If you bought available land you can get it immediately. The only problem is that it’s expensive and there is limited choice."

"However, if you pay to build it from scratch, it would take some time. As for the price, it’s equally expensive, but it can be customized to your liking."

"How is it? What is your pick?"
