He Became A Monstrous Genius After Obtaining A Time Dilation Artifact
Chapter 783. Heading to the light region.
"Uncle... I feel very fine now. It’s just as you described. I’m brimming with vitality. I’m healed," Lucian said.
Kailen nodded warmly at Lucian’s words. "That’s wonderful."
"Thank you, Kailen." Julian looked at Kailen with genuine gratitude.
Kailen waved his hand. "No need for such pleasantries between us, Julian."
"Mmm." Julian nodded.
Lucian, Oblivion, and Riselia looked at Kailen with genuine gratitude in their eyes. Their father had really made a good friend. To think they had been a bit skeptical about his abilities earlier on. They should have realized earlier that since their father was not one to easily make friends, this man was definitely more extraordinary than he had let on.
The trio curtsied with a light bow.
"Thank you for the generosity, Your Excellency."
Even though this man called Kailen was their father’s friend, he was a Transcendent, and one who had saved Lucian’s life. They had to give him the necessary respect.
"There’s no need for such formalities, please," Kailen said.
The trio nodded.
Tumina also bowed to Kailen.
"Thank you for the opportunity, Excellency."
Kailen nodded warmly, after which she added, "If I am not indulging too much, may I have the honor of learning who you are? Surely, someone of your stature would have definitely made a name for yourself in our edge region in the field of alchemy before you left the edge region to the chaotic region after becoming a Transcendent. But, it’s puzzling you are not known."
Julian chuckled. He did not let Kailen reply. He replied on Kailen’s behalf.
"You are mistaken, Tumina. Mr. Darkhaven is the first Transcendent from the light region of the universe. Not only that, he’s the most discussed person in the Venzula Empire of the chaotic region of the universe at the moment."
Everyone’s eyes widened in realization on hearing Julian’s words.
So this was why this man was not known in the edge region. It was not because he was from an extremely distant era and the ravages of time had erased him from the history of the edge region. He was from the light region of the universe. This was why they had never heard of him before.
Also, did Julian just say he was the most talked-about person in an empire in the chaotic region of the universe, where transcendents were as numerous as clouds? How terrifying must he be? And he was also the first Transcendent from the light region of the universe, rumored to not have produced any transcendents before?
What an interesting and mysterious man.
Tumina respectfully excused herself from the room and gave the Patriarch and his family the privacy they needed. However, what she had experienced today would be something she would never forget.
After she left, Julian hugged his children and enjoyed a touching reunion with them.
Julian’s children eventually told him about the person responsible for Lucian’s poison and even showed Julian and Kailen a picture of him. Apparently, he was a genius clan member who held a grudge against Julian’s daughter, Riselia.
His name was Blier Seir.
He had been obsessed with her. However, Riselia turned him down on countless occasions. The bastard felt humiliated, and since he could not find any way to vent his frustrations, he resorted to poisoning Riselia. However, Lucian intercepted the attack himself and ended up getting poisoned in the end.
The fellow fled the Seir Clan and the Andromodos domain. His family was hunted down in the Andromodos domain by Oblivion and killed as a deterrent toward anyone who thought they could target the Seir Clan and get away with it. However, Bleir himself was not found.
Eventually, news about Bleir later becoming a transcendent, him leaving the edge region for the chaotic region spread across the Andromodos domain and several surrounding domains.
"What a scumbag," Julian said as a glint of coldness flashed through his eyes.
Kailen also felt the same way. He was not one to judge people. But someone who wanted to kill a woman because she rejected his romantic advances was just... he didn’t even know the kind of word to use to describe him.
Julian looked at his three children, seated across him in the living room.
"Don’t worry, I will have revenge. Wherever he is in the chaotic region, I will find him and give him a very gruesome death." He spoke to his children warmly, but there was coldness beneath the warm exterior. "I don’t know how long it will take, but I will kill him."
No one could touch his family and get away with it.
"Mmm."
Julian’s children nodded.
"When are you three getting married?"
Before the conversation could continue, Kailen stood up.
"Okay... imma head to the beach," Kailen said.
"Why?" Julian replied.
"This is a personal conversation between you and them?" Kailen replied with an innocent expression on his face.
"Right. Have fun."
"I will."
Kailen left the room, leaving the family of four to have their family banter.
***
Kailen and Julian left the edge region of the universe. They were currently seated in Julian’s spaceship, passing through the chaotic region of the universe. Kailen used the principle of space to occasionally shorten the distance of travel.
During this period, Kailen noticed Julian had been very quiet. He seemed to be boiling with anger. It seemed his desire to be extremely strong had been strongly kindled.
Who could blame him? The bastard who had tried to kill his daughter, but ended up poisoning his son, after he tried to hit on Julian’s daughter had become a Transcendent and was roaming freely in the chaotic region. It was obvious Julian was using these few days of silence to calm himself down after what his children had told him.
Soon, he approached Kailen, who was currently watching a movie with the Will of the Universe in the lounge of the spaceship. Of course, Julian could not see the Will of the Universe. He could see only Kailen watching a movie.
"Hey, man. How are you holding up?" Kailen said.
"Needed a few days to cool off," Julian replied.
"Figured," Kailen nodded.
"But... that bastard will definitely die one day for sure," Julian said.
Kailen nodded. If in the future, he were to personally encounter the Bleir bastard in the chaotic region of the universe before Julian did, he would kill him for Julian. However, if Julian encountered him and decided to deal with the fucker himself, that was also fine.
"Hey, we’ve arrived at the barrier," Julian said.
"Yeah..." Kailen smiled. They had arrived at the barrier separating the chaotic region of the universe from the light region of the universe.
It had been a long time since he saw some faces.
The duo disappeared from the spaceship, after which Julian put it in his secret realm. Then, they headed toward the barrier, passed through it, and disappeared.
