Li Wei waited on the remains of the stone bridge for the Space Tower’s Teleportation Array to return to normal.

By noon, the sun hung high in the sky.

There were no clouds in sight. The scorching sun beat down on Li Wei, and the air temperature reached forty to fifty degrees Celsius.

If Li Wei had been an ordinary person, he would have already started to dehydrate, and his life would be in danger.

The seawater had completely submerged the sunken island.

The Space Mage beside them, Victor, looked at Li Wei and said, "Why didn’t you return to the Space Tower at the time?"

Hearing his voice, Li Wei remembered that this was the man who had given him the warning.

Li Wei explained, "I tried to go back, but the teleportation failed. I’m not sure why."

Seeing this, Victor didn’t press the matter further.

They would ask for the details once they returned to the Space Tower.

Their main purpose for coming here was to investigate the reason for the Forbidden Curse’s appearance.

Harris glanced at Li Wei and said, "Stick with us for now. We’ll take you back with us later."

Li Wei nodded. "Okay, thank you, Elder."

The group circled the area where the island had sunk.

Some even dove deep into the sea to inspect the shape of the island after it sank.

Victor emerged from the sea, a look of confusion in his eyes.

The thing he was looking for had vanished.

Victor glanced at Li Wei, suspecting that he had taken it.

After the group had gathered enough information, they left the area of spatial turbulence and teleported back to the Space Tower.

After returning to the Space Tower, Li Wei finally breathed a sigh of relief.

’Finally back. They probably won’t suspect me for the Forbidden Curse incident.’

While the group was investigating the island, they had asked Li Wei a few related questions.

They asked if he had noticed anything unusual before the Forbidden Curse appeared, or if anyone else had been on the island.

Li Wei, of course, denied everything.

He just claimed to know nothing.

No one suspected Li Wei was the one who did it.
