The more power Nitro displayed, the more people it attracted.

Before long, twelve Mages from different factions had gathered nearby.

One-fifth of the Mages on the island were now here.

"We don’t need Illusionists! They’re useless!"

a Summoner shouted.

"Illusion Techniques have no effect on Nitro! The Illusionists can’t contribute anything, so tell them to get lost!"

There were three Mages from the Elemental Tower at the scene: Li Wei, Elfa, and Kroy.

Kroy was a Wind Mage who had been working with Elfa.

One member of their three-person team had stayed behind at the arena and hadn’t come over.

Kroy’s Wind Magic could amplify Elfa’s Fire Element Magic.

That was why Elfa had chosen to bring him along.

Elfa’s power was undeniable, as many there had witnessed it for themselves.

When he stepped up to speak, the others were respectful enough not to argue.

Besides, what Elfa said made sense.

After a brief discussion, the group quickly decided on a division of labor.

The Summoners and Illusionists would be responsible for harassing Nitro.

The Elemental Mages and Space Mages would be in charge of attacking and trying to pinpoint Nitro’s location.

The Alchemists were to use the time to develop a Special Effect Potion specifically for Nitro.

With their roles assigned, they split up and got to work.

As Nitro advanced toward its next objective, it suddenly detected numerous other targets in the vicinity.

It paused for a moment, sensing that none of the nearby targets possessed a Purple Star Stone.

Without even turning its head, Nitro resumed its determined advance toward its original objective.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

A mix of real and illusory Summoned Beasts assaulted Nitro from all sides.

With a casual swipe of its arm, Nitro blew a Summoned Beast to pieces.

The Summoned Beast dissolved into nothingness.

It was just an illusion.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The attacks of the Summoned Beasts landed on Nitro, but failed to cause any significant damage.

They merely slowed its advance for a moment.

ROAR!

After whiffing several attacks in a row, its great maw stretched wide, and it let out an earth-shattering roar.

A terrifying sonic wave erupted from its mouth, transforming into shockwaves that rapidly expanded outward, striking all Summoned Beasts and trees within a hundred-meter radius.

BOOM! CRASH!

The illusory Summoned Beasts were instantly dispersed by the sonic wave, vanishing into thin air.

The real Summoned Beasts fared little better. As if struck on the head by a heavy hammer, they were stunned and lost all ability to move. They collapsed to the ground, their bodies trembling and limbs convulsing.

The surrounding trees exploded outright, shattering into countless splinters that flew in every direction.

Even the ground was affected, rippling into circular waves of earth.

The power of Nitro’s sonic attack was astounding.

It had grievously wounded all the Summoned Beasts that were besieging it.

Pained by the sight, the Summoners hastily recalled their beasts to their Summoning Space.

Nitro’s massive jaw snapped shut. Having cleared away the obstructions, it continued forward.

It was like a machine.

Its only directive was to collect Purple Star Stones.

THUD! THUD! THUD!

The ground shook with each of Nitro’s heavy footfalls.

Suddenly, with a soft SQUELCH, Nitro’s right foot sank deep into the ground.

"A Magic Mud Swamp trap!"

Nitro tried to pull its right foot out, but the harder it struggled, the deeper it sank.

The Magic Mud Swamp gradually began to swallow Nitro’s form.

GLUG! GLUG!

Bubbles rose to the surface around Nitro.

Its entire lower body was now submerged in the Magic Mud Swamp.

The Magic Mud Swamp could absorb Nitro’s Power, preventing it from using its immense strength to break free.

The purple markings on Nitro’s body lit up with a dazzling light.

VMMMM!

The surrounding Magic Elements converged towards Nitro.

Nitro’s brown fur gradually turned blue.

An icy aura spread out from it.

The Magic Mud Swamp froze solid, hardening like rock.

With a heave, the blue Nitro broke free from the frozen mud.

The onlookers watched in astonishment.

"Nitro can use Magic?"

No one knew much about an Ancient Calamity Beast like Nitro.

They were stunned to see it use Ice Magic to freeze the Magic Mud Swamp and escape.

After all, they had carefully chosen the Magic Mud Swamp as their trap.

It was supposed to be the perfect counter to Nitro.

And just as they had predicted, Nitro’s terrifying strength was useless against the Magic Mud Swamp’s yielding nature.

But they had never imagined that Nitro could change its form, becoming the blue Nitro and gaining ice abilities.

CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!

The frosty air spread rapidly in all directions.

The trees were instantly frozen into ice sculptures.

Li Wei felt the icy aura coming from Nitro, and an idea struck him.

He released a Fireball to attack Nitro.

WHOOSH!

BOOM! RUMBLE!

The Fireball struck Nitro.

Ice and fire collided violently, setting off a stunning explosion.

After the smoke cleared, Li Wei discovered Nitro was injured.

The wound was very light—barely a scratch, in fact.

But it meant that Nitro’s defenses were weaker.

The blue Nitro’s resistance to Fire Element Magic was reduced.

Li Wei didn’t even need to say anything; the others had already noticed this exciting development.

Overjoyed, Elfa shouted, "Quick! Its Defense Power is down! Attack with everything you’ve got!"

He took out an Elemental Contract.

He used it to form a contract with the Fire Element, boosting the power of his Fire Element Magic.

Li Wei glanced curiously at the Elemental Contract in Elfa’s hand. It looked just like an ordinary Magic Scroll.

After the contract was formed, Li Wei immediately felt the ambient Fire Elements in the area begin to surge toward Elfa.

Elfa’s aura surged dramatically.
