The Ancient Calamity Beast Nitro seemed to have a purpose.

A Summoner occupied the arena closest to the Ancient Calamity Beast.

He grew nervous as he saw Nitro approaching.

However, he chose not to abandon the arena.

’In his mind, the Ancient Calamity Beast wasn’t invincible.’

He summoned several Tier Four Summoned Beasts and a powerful Tier Five Thunderlight Lizard to attack Nitro.

The Thunderlight Lizard’s dorsal fin glowed with blue lightning, and a bolt shot out from the horn on its head.

The powerful bolt of lightning, strong enough to kill a Tier Five Magic Beast, struck Nitro.

The lightning traveled down Nitro’s fur, dissipating into the ground as countless tiny arcs of electricity.

Nitro possessed extremely high Magic Resistance, shrugging off the Thunderlight Lizard’s lightning attack.

The flames on a Tier Four Fiery Bull Summoned Beast flared, and it unleashed its full power as it charged at Nitro.

As the Fiery Bull, which weighed over ten tons, stampeded forward, the ground itself began to shake.

Not even the Tier Five Thunderlight Lizard would dare to meet that charge head-on.

Facing such a terrifying attack, Nitro neither dodged nor evaded, simply extending one hand.

CRASH!

The ground beneath Nitro’s feet sank and cracked.

Its feet sank deep into the earth as it was pushed back, carving a three-meter-long trench in the soil.

Nitro had stopped the Fiery Bull’s charge with a single hand.

Then, it grabbed the bull by the head and slammed it into the ground.

Unable to withstand the immense Power, the Fiery Bull’s front legs buckled, and it collapsed to its knees.

Its hindquarters flew up as its head plunged into the dirt.

Its back legs twitched and struggled for a moment, then fell limp.

When Nitro stood up and pulled back its arm, its right hand was covered in blood.

It had crushed the Fiery Bull’s skull with its bare hand.

The Summoner was utterly shocked by the sight.

’The Fiery Bull’s skull is incredibly durable; not even a Tier Five Magic Beast could necessarily smash it.’

’But Nitro crushed it with ease.’

’It was hard to imagine just how terrifying Nitro’s Power truly was.’

The Summoner already wanted to retreat.

’In terms of Defense Power alone, the Fiery Bull’s head was even tougher than the Tier Five Thunderlight Lizard.’

’The Fiery Bull was killed instantly.’

’If my Thunderlight Lizard goes up against Nitro, it’ll most likely die too.’

’The Thunderlight Lizard is my core Summoned Beast. If it dies, the loss would be too great.’

The Summoner decided to retreat.

Just then, several figures appeared in the distance.

Upon seeing Nitro, they began to approach.

Nitro was an Ancient Calamity Beast, and an extremely rare one at that.

Even outside of the competition, the materials one could obtain just from killing Nitro were extremely valuable.

What’s more, when Nitro appeared, the Space Tower had immediately announced a new Rule.

Killing Nitro would directly award three thousand Points.

The Space Tower’s organizers made no attempt to be subtle.

They made it perfectly clear that Nitro was the most important part of the competition.

Killing Nitro would also directly grant an arena’s spatial barrier.

This would lock in ownership of the next arena ahead of time.

After the competition, the Space Tower would also create a more detailed leaderboard based on the Points each person had acquired.

Killing Nitro and gaining three thousand Points meant getting a huge head start on everyone else.

Even on a High Level Arena at the summit, earning three thousand Points would require at least a thousand minutes—nearly seventeen hours.

Nitro strode toward the arena.

The Summoner hastily summoned numerous Summoned Beasts, ordering them to desperately hold Nitro back.

To make his Summoned Beasts unleash even greater Power and cast aside their fear, the Summoner cast a Group Frenzy Spell.

All the Summoned Beasts’ eyes turned bloodshot; their rationality diminished as their Power surged.

"ROOOAR!"

THUD! THUD! THUD! SQUELCH!

Nitro crushed the skull of one Summoned Beast underfoot, then grabbed two more that were charging from either side and violently smashed them into each other.

With a sickening crunch, the two Summoned Beasts’ heads burst like watermelons.

Bits of red and white sprayed everywhere.

Bathed in blood, Nitro stepped into the arena.

VMMMMM!

The Magic Array on the arena activated.

The Summoner stood frozen in place, a look of utter disbelief on his face.

’What the hell?’

’An Ancient Calamity Beast counts as a challenger?’

He stared blankly up at the towering form of Nitro, his pupils dilating in terror.

Fear consumed him.

Nitro reached for the Summoner.

SPLAT!

Nitro crushed the thing in its hand and casually tossed it aside.

Not far away, the Summoner, who had just narrowly escaped death, watched in horror.

What Nitro had just crushed was a Summoned Beast.

The Summoner had switched places with his Summoned Beast.

After crushing the Summoned Beast, Nitro did not pursue the Summoner.

Instead, it turned, crouched, and punched the arena floor beneath it.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

After a few more punches, the incredibly sturdy arena was completely shattered.

The Magic Array was destroyed, deactivating it.

From amid the rubble, Nitro picked up a purple stone and tossed it into its mouth.

VMMMM!

A purple marking appeared on Nitro’s body, and its aura grew even stronger.

The moment the arena was destroyed and Nitro consumed the purple stone, a voice sounded in everyone’s ears.

"Challenge Arena 23 has been destroyed. 24 challenge arenas remain."

"All contestants, please protect the challenge arenas. The Ancient Calamity Beast’s Power will increase as it destroys them."

Everyone’s heart sank.

This was forcing them to deal with Nitro.

As time passed, Nitro’s Power would only continue to grow.

It would become increasingly difficult to handle.

After destroying Arena 23, Nitro headed for the next closest arena.

Several Mages from different factions had already gathered together.

"The Ancient Calamity Beast’s Power is too terrifying. We should team up to deal with it. We can divide the spoils after it’s been taken care of," someone proposed.

"Alright."

"I agree."

"I have no objection."

Li Wei nodded and said, "Okay."
