Giant Dragon Lord: Starting from Daily Intelligence
Chapter 382 - 343: The Great Purge Before the Wedding
In the center was a Snake Woman.
She had the upper body of a human female, her features alluring and beautiful, and her long, ink-green hair swayed gently as if it were alive.
Her lower body was a thick, ten-meter-long snake tail covered in fine, dark jade-green scales.
It was none other than the Snake Woman, Najasha, who had abandoned her entire legion and mount to escape from Raylo alone.
To her left was a powerful Snake-man. He was larger than others of his kind, with a snake tail nearly ten meters long and knotted muscles that pulsed with explosive power.
He wore no armor, his bare upper body covered in menacing, blood-red Magic Patterns. In his hand, he carried a vicious War Spear crafted from a spinal column and snake fangs.
The figure on the right was the most terrifying.
It was a massive Swamp Giant, standing six meters tall.
Its skin was a filthy gray-green and covered in scars.
He was the leader of the Swamp Giants, "Bone Shards."
The three mighty Domain Level powerhouses of the Jade Swamp were actually gathered here.
They had not made a move, merely watching with cold indifference as their minions threw their lives away to drain the Eternal Giant Turtle’s power.
To them, the lives of this cannon fodder were insignificant. As long as they could wear down the strength of the Giant Turtle’s legion, their objective would be achieved.
High above, within the clouds, Raylo took in the entire scene.
"Let’s go, Sun. Down we go to say hello to our ally."
Raylo said.
The Golden Dragon Sun let out a low draconic roar in response. Its hundred-meter-long body turned and was the first to break through the clouds, diving toward the lake below.
Baofeng followed close behind, its yellowish-brown Iron Feathers cutting through the air with a piercing shriek.
The appearance of the two figures, one gold and one yellow, instantly shattered the battlefield’s balance.
Below, the fighting between the Swamp Legion and the Aquatic Race came to a simultaneous, momentary halt.
Countless eyes turned toward the sky.
A Giant Dragon!
It was a creature of legend, a name synonymous with power and destruction.
The Golden Dragon Sun’s enormous body and pure, imposing presence descended like an invisible mountain, weighing heavily on the heart of every living being.
In comparison, while Baofeng was also eye-catching, it seemed less impactful under the Giant Dragon’s brilliant radiance.
Atop the massive rock, the expressions of the Jade Swamp’s three Domain Level powerhouses changed drastically.
"It’s that Golden Dragon!"
Blood River’s voice was hoarse. The muscles beneath his blood-red Magic Patterns tensed instantly, and the veins on the hand gripping his Bone Spear bulged.
A flicker of apprehension crossed Bone Shards’s eyes as he let out a dull hum.
"It’s that human Count."
Najasha’s expression was the ugliest of all, a shadow falling over her alluringly beautiful face.
It was that very man who had annihilated her legion and even turned her mount of many years into food.
’What is he planning?’
Najasha’s serpentine eyes stared intently at the descending figure, a strong sense of unease rising in her heart.
The man and the dragon halted their descent about a hundred meters above the lake, Sun’s molten-gold eyes gazing down at the bottomless water.
The next moment, it opened its great maw.
"ROAR!"
The immense Dragon Mighty transformed into a tangible sound wave, plunging thousands of meters into the lake’s depths like a deep-water explosive.
The water’s surface trembled violently, sending massive ripples spreading out in all directions.
Half a minute later, the surface of the lake at its center began to slowly bulge upward.
It wasn’t a wave, nor was it a bubble.
It was a "mountain."
A black hill made of ancient rock, hard shell, and countless aquatic plants was surfacing with a slow, unstoppable momentum.
Water cascaded down the "mountainside" in countless small waterfalls.
Soon, the full appearance of this "hill" was revealed to all.
It was not a mountain, but the shell of a giant turtle!
The shell was over a kilometer in diameter, covered in the ravines and marks of time, and even hosted several ancient aquatic trees that had been growing for who knows how many years.
Immediately after, a massive, mountain-like head emerged from the water, stirring up colossal waves.
Its skin was like the toughest volcanic rock. Its two eyes were larger than the biggest houses, their pupils as deep as cosmic nebulae, showing not a hint of emotion—only ancient, deathly stillness and immense power.
The Eternal Giant Turtle.
The hegemon of the Black Water River.
"My friend, the ruler of the Black Water River."
Sun, acting as translator, began to fulfill his duty.
The Eternal Giant Turtle’s massive head turned slightly, its nebula-like eyes looking toward Raylo, who was hovering in the air.
Raylo gave a slight nod, his expression calm.
After a moment of silence, an extremely deep roar rumbled from the depths of the Giant Turtle’s throat.
The sound was like the grinding of tectonic plates.
"It is asking if you are here to support its war," Sun immediately translated.
Raylo nodded.
"Tell it I have come to fulfill my duty as an ally. And invite it to watch a good show."
Sun relayed Raylo’s words.
The Eternal Giant Turtle let out another low roar. No emotion could be seen in its massive eyes; it simply watched in silence.
This was tacit approval.
"Let’s go over."
Raylo patted Baofeng’s neck.
Baofeng let out a clear cry and carried Raylo toward the northern shore of the lake.
The Golden Dragon Sun circled behind and to his side, its Dragon Mighty blanketing the entire battlefield and intimidating all would-be troublemakers.
Raylo’s figure finally came to a halt in the air several hundred meters in front of the Swamp Legion.
Below, the Swamp Legion grew restless, and some Lizardfolk archers had already drawn their longbows.
On the giant rock, Najasha and the other two stared intently at Raylo. They couldn’t understand what this human intended to do with just himself and one dragon.
Under everyone’s watchful gaze, Raylo reached into his Spatial Bag.
He did not pull out a Knight’s Long Spear, nor a Magic Scroll.
But a head.
A vicious, massive serpent’s head that radiated an endless, chilling aura.
The entire head was covered in ice-blue scales. Its eyes were tightly shut, but even so, a terrifying pressure originating from a higher level of life emanated from it.
It was the aura of the Catastrophe Level, the residual power of a mythical creature.
The Head of the Demon Serpent, "Ice Wind"!
Najasha turned and fled.
"What is that?!"
A look of horror filled Bone Shards’s eyes.
As a Domain Level powerhouse, he could clearly sense the destructive power contained within that head.
Blood River froze completely. As descendants of snake-type Magical Beasts, they felt a fear and tremor that came from the very depths of their bloodline.
It was the absolute suppression from a superior being!
Raylo gave them no time to think.
He poured his Magic Power into the Head of the Demon Serpent like a tidal wave.
After this period of rest, the Catastrophe Level Demon Head had long since recovered the energy it had previously expended.
Ice Wind’s tightly shut eyes began to tremble slightly.
A familiar and terrifying Spiritual Shock, like an invisible tidal wave, was brewing, about to crash into Raylo’s mind.
It was the remnant tyrannical will of the Nine-headed Demon Serpent, enough to cause the mind of any being below the Domain Level to instantly collapse.
However, this time, the anticipated agony did not arrive.
In Raylo’s arms, Moonlight twitched its ears slightly.
A brilliant silver light flashed for an instant in its pale golden eyes.
A cool and gentle, yet incomparably powerful Spiritual Power emanated from Moonlight, forming an invisible barrier that effortlessly repelled the tyrannical will.
After advancing to the Domain Level, Moonlight’s power had undergone a world-shaking transformation.
The will of the Nine-headed Demon Serpent, which Raylo once had to fight with all his might just to barely resist, was now nothing more than an insignificant ripple before Moonlight.
Raylo’s mind felt crystal clear, and an unprecedented sense of control washed over him.
He could clearly feel that there were no longer any barriers between him and "Ice Wind."
He was the master of this Catastrophe Weapon.
HUMMM!
The eyes of the Head of the Demon Serpent, "Ice Wind," snapped fully open.
A pure, pale light that seemed capable of freezing souls flickered within them.
The next moment, it opened its giant maw.
There was no roar, no hiss, only dead silence.
Then, the wind came.
Not an ordinary wind, but a deathly breath mixed with Catastrophe Level Power.
A visible, pale-white ice storm erupted from the serpent’s mouth, instantly sweeping across the kilometer-wide battlefield before it in a fan-like arc.
The ferocious expressions on the faces of the several hundred Black-Scaled Lizardfolk at the forefront instantly froze. Their bodies were rapidly coated in a layer of pale Frost from head to toe, and in the blink of an eye, they became a series of lifelike ice sculptures.
The Swamp Giant legion right behind them was roaring, preparing to hurl boulders.
The thousand-plus Swamp Giants didn’t even have a chance to react before they followed in the footsteps of the Lizardfolk before them.
Their poses—raising boulders high, mouths wide in a roar—were perfectly preserved, transforming them into a spectacular forest of ice sculptures.
The ice storm continued to advance. Wherever it passed, whether it was a frenzied Swamp Magical Beast or a colorful venomous snake, every living thing had its heat and life force stripped away the instant it made contact, turning into eternal ice crystals.
Just ten seconds.
When Raylo stopped pouring in his Magic Power and the Head of the Demon Serpent slowly closed its eyes, the entire world seemed to fall silent.
Before him, the once chaotic, clamorous battlefield of flying flesh and blood had become a deathly silent world of ice and snow.
Of the nearly ten-thousand-strong Swamp Legion, over seventy percent of its creatures had been turned into ice sculptures in various poses, refracting a strange and desolate light in the dim surroundings.
On the distant giant rock, the three Domain Level powerhouses were long gone.
Najasha had already fled.
The moment the ice storm appeared, Blood River and Bone Shards had sensed the lethal threat.
They simultaneously deployed their Domains, barely managing to withstand the aftershocks of the ice storm.
Just the aftershocks alone made them feel their Domain Power being consumed at a frantic rate, and the blood in their veins felt as if it were about to freeze solid.
Ten seconds, for them, had felt as long as a century.
The moment the ice storm stopped, the two exchanged a look of utter horror, seeing the same emotion in each other’s eyes: fear.
Without any hesitation, not even sparing a moment for a parting threat, the two transformed into streaks of light and fled frantically toward the depths of the Jade Swamp, never looking back.
Faced with this kind of illogical Catastrophe Level power, all tactics and courage became meaningless.
Especially since this great power was so clearly similar to that of the sleeping master in the depths of the swamp.
"ROAR!"
From the lake, the long-silent Fishman Warriors let out roars of victory.
Several thousand Fishfolk, along with over a thousand Magical Beasts, surged ashore from the blood-reddened lake water like a bursting dam.
They charged toward the forest of ice sculptures.
CRACK!
A Fishman Warrior easily shattered the ice sculpture of a Bloodscale Lizardfolk with the Bone Spear in his hand.
Shards of ice flew everywhere, and the frozen flesh and blood within turned to a pile of fragments on the ground.
More Magical Beasts swarmed forward, using their sharp claws and teeth to smash and tear the ice sculptures apart.
Some carnivorous Magical Beasts even swallowed the icy fragments whole, their chewing sounds exceptionally jarring in the silent battlefield.
This was a one-sided, bloody "harvest."
The Eternal Giant Turtle watched all of this in silence. Its massive, nebula-like eyes eventually moved slowly to rest on the now-calm serpent head in Raylo’s hand.
A glint of contemplation appeared in its ancient pupils.
