Giant Dragon Lord: Starting from Daily Intelligence
Chapter 368 - 336: An Unexpected Great Mage
A strange, sweet, metallic scent filled the air—the unique aroma of a High Tier Magical Beast’s blood.
Sun watched the bustling Giants, snorting with a hint of impatience.
It extended its sharp claws and tore open the Wind God Winged Dragon’s tenacious hide.
SQUELCH!
With a soft sound, Sun withdrew its claw from the flesh.
In the palm of its massive claw rested a diamond-shaped crystal, cyan through and through.
Visible streams of cyan energy flowed across the crystal’s surface as if a miniature storm were imprisoned within, emitting pure and immense fluctuations of Magic Power.
A Wind Magic Core.
Sun walked over to Raylo and slowly extended its claw.
Raylo reached out and took the Magic Core, still warm, into his hand.
It felt cool to the touch, and the immense Wind Elemental Energy nearly overflowed from his fingertips, threatening to drill into his body through the meridians in his arm.
He could feel the Fighting Spirit within him stir, activated by this pure energy.
Raylo’s gaze shifted to the massive dragon carcass and the dozens of barrels of Dragon Blood.
Coal Ball wagged its tail, its big, dark, glistening eyes shifting from the mountain-like dragon carcass to the dozens of barrels exuding a tempting aroma. A gulping sound, "GULP," echoed from its throat.
"It’s your turn now, Coal Ball."
Raylo said with a smile, gesturing toward the spoils.
Coal Ball perked up at once, letting out an excited cry.
It ran to an open space and let out a low draconic roar, and a constantly spinning, bottomless black vortex appeared.
A powerful suction force emanated from the vortex’s center.
The Hill Giants watched the little one’s performance with curiosity.
The dozens of incredibly heavy barrels of Dragon Blood seemed to lose all weight, lifting into the air one by one. They formed a line and were swallowed whole by the seemingly small black vortex without so much as a splash.
After dealing with the barrels of Dragon Blood, Coal Ball turned its attention to the hundred-meter-long dragon carcass.
The vortex’s suction suddenly intensified several times over.
The Wind God Winged Dragon’s massive corpse began to vibrate violently. Loose stones on the ground were swept up, making a "CRACKLE CRACKLE" sound.
The dragon carcass was peeled off the ground bit by bit. Its tail was sucked into the vortex first, followed by its hind legs, its torso...
The sight was utterly stunning.
A black vortex, no more than a few meters in diameter, was devouring a hundred-meter-long Giant Beast.
Kado and the other Hill Giants stared, dumbfounded. They rubbed their eyes, unable to comprehend what was happening before them.
A few minutes later, the enormous Wind God Winged Dragon had vanished completely, swallowed entirely by Coal Ball into its personal space.
Moonlight leaped to its side and patted its head with the tip of its tail, as if praising its little brother.
"Alright, let’s move out."
Raylo vaulted onto Baofeng’s back.
The group began the journey home, heading back the way they came.
An hour later, they returned to the familiar area with the colossal Space Stone Wall.
Raylo pulled on the reins, and Baofeng let out a shrill cry, plunging headfirst into the curtain of light.
With a flash of brilliance, the man and the Griffin vanished.
Following them, Sun and the Hill Giants melted silently into the stone wall like pebbles dropped into a lake, vanishing from this world.
After the last Hill Giant’s figure disappeared, the light of the Space Stone Wall gradually dimmed, eventually reverting to a massive, unremarkable rock face.
On the Chaotic Stone Slope, a dead silence fell.
The wind died down, as if in fear of something.
The ground, previously stained dark red with Dragon Blood, had now coagulated into ugly, blackish-brown patches. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚
From the sky above, a vast shadow was cast down in utter silence, so immense that it shrouded the entire Chaotic Stone Slope.
The source of that shadow was a Giant Beast several times larger than the previous Wind God Winged Dragon.
Its body was unfurled, its wingspan exceeding three hundred meters. Each cyan scale was like forged Refined Steel, its edges glinting with a heart-stopping cold light.
It landed silently, its colossal body making not a single sound. Only an invisible, suffocating pressure, like a heavy mountain range, crashed down.
Tier Five Domain Peak.
The Wind God Winged Dragon King.
Its pale gold, vertical pupils swept across the ravaged land.
It precisely identified the scents that had not yet fully dissipated in the air.
The blood of its own kind, with its rich, scorching aroma.
Traces of claws tearing through flesh, upon which lingered a scorching, tyrannical Dragon Mighty belonging to a Golden Dragon.
There was also a heavy, solid scent, like the earth itself—the smell of a Hill Giant.
It didn’t let out an enraged roar, but merely stood there in silence.
’An outsider Golden Dragon colluded with Hill Giants to hunt down my kin.’
’And the nearest large Hill Giant Tribe is just a short distance south, across the Lancang River.’
A moment later, it beat its wings, and the resulting gust of air sent loose stones scattering in all directions.
Its massive figure once again vanished into the clouds, leaving behind an even more deathly silent Chaotic Stone Slope.
...
Light flowed, and after the familiar sensation of dizziness passed, the ground beneath their feet was solid once again.
"We’re back."
Raylo gently patted Baofeng’s neck. The griffin let out a joyful cry and circled once in the air.
Behind them, the curtain of light rippled like water. Sun’s massive golden body squeezed through first, followed by Kado and the Hill Giants he led.
The plaza had already been cleared, with only a squad of soldiers left maintaining order.
Raylo stopped in the center of the plaza and nodded at Coal Ball, who was looking around curiously.
