Chapter 344: Chapter 324: Dragon Blood Growth Potion and the Giants’ First Battle

Raylo took out the vial of golden Magic Potion and waved it in front of Moonlight.

Moonlight lazily opened her pale golden eyes, glanced at the test tube, and snorted derisively. She seemed to have no interest in this "man-made" concoction.

Coal Ball was different. It hopped on its short legs, about to snatch the vial of Magic Potion brimming with Magic Power.

Raylo grabbed Coal Ball and tossed it aside.

The Dragon Blood Grass was limited. The correct approach was to prioritize supplying it to Moonlight to help her break through to the Tier Five Domain Level first.

"This is good stuff. It can help you break through to Tier Five faster."

Raylo uncorked the vial, and a peculiar, fresh fragrance instantly filled the air.

The scent clearly caught Moonlight’s attention.

She stretched her long neck, leaning in for a careful sniff. Ultimately, the noble Silver Dragon couldn’t resist the alluring aroma from the blend of Dragon Blood Grass and other Magic Plants.

She stuck out her tongue, curled it around the test tube, and pulled both the vial and its contents into her mouth. With a slight twitch of her throat, she swallowed.

After drinking it, she smacked her lips, seemingly wanting more. Then she plopped her head back onto the rug, closed her eyes, and went back to sleep.

It was as if she had just drunk a bottle of ordinary fruit juice.

Raylo didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. However, he could feel the Magic Power within Moonlight’s body flowing with greater vigor.

The Potion’s effects were already taking hold. All that was needed now was time.

The giants’ training was making good progress.

They were no longer just swinging their weapons; they had learned to coordinate with each other.

Working in pairs and groups of three, their simple charge and defensive formations were starting to take shape.

It was time to test the results.

「The next morning」

A huge military map was spread across the table. Raylo’s finger pointed to a green area on it.

"The Jade Swamp, a Lizardman Tribe," Raylo said.

"According to our intelligence, a Lizardfolk settlement of over a thousand individuals is entrenched here."

Sun lowered his head, his golden eyes staring at the mark on the map as two puffs of hot air shot from his nostrils.

"You want to send this giant squad?"

"That’s right." Raylo nodded.

"This will be their first battle. You will lead them personally. Take the fourteen Hill Giants, six Sky Dragons, and one hundred Pegasus Knights. The objective: completely eradicate this Lizardman Tribe."

"Hahahaha!"

Sun let out a gleeful draconic roar. Clearly, his time as an instructor had left him feeling cooped up.

"It’s about time!"

The order was quickly given.

When they learned they were about to face their first real battle, the fourteen Hill Giants let out a heaven-shaking roar.

They excitedly beat their chests and hoisted their massive Wolf Fang Clubs onto their shoulders.

Their training during this period had also left them with a belly full of pent-up aggression.

「An hour later」

The fourteen Hill Giants marched at the forefront with heavy steps.

In the sky, one hundred Pegasus Knights formed an orderly queue, the beating of their wings kicking up gusts of wind.

And above them, six massive Sky Dragons circled, letting out low rumbles.

"Move out!"

This was the first time Sun was leading his Knight Order into battle alone, and it made him very excited and thrilled.

The Jade Swamp was perpetually shrouded in a green miasma. Its muddy ground was riddled with deadly traps and venomous creatures.

The Lizardfolk had established a massive nest here, where they lived and multiplied.

This Lizardfolk settlement originally had more than five thousand people, but the main force had already marched to the Black Water River, leaving just over a thousand behind.

Today, however, their peaceful life was shattered.

THUD! THUD! THUD!

Heavy footsteps, like the beat of war drums, echoed from outside the swamp, and the ground began to tremble rhythmically.

A Lizardfolk sentry on watch duty climbed a tall watchtower in confusion. When it saw the scene in the distance, the confusion in its eyes instantly turned to sheer terror.

On the horizon, fourteen figures like moving hills were striding forward, charging with an unstoppable momentum.

Above them, a golden Giant Dragon and a flock of Pegasus blotted out the sky.

A shrill alarm rang throughout the tribe, but it was too late.

"Charge!" Sun’s roar boomed across the sky.

"ROAR!"

The fourteen Hill Giants bellowed in unison. Like fourteen out-of-control Siege Hammers, they smashed into the Lizardman Tribe’s crude wooden walls and arrow towers.

CRASH!

Wood splinters and earth flew everywhere. The seemingly sturdy fortifications were as fragile as paper before the giants’ ten-meter-long Refined Iron Wolf Fang Clubs, and a massive breach was torn open in an instant.

Lizardman Warriors surged fearlessly from the breach, waving Bone Spears and Stone Axes, trying to halt the steps of these behemoths.

However, they were met by fourteen massive, whistling Wolf Fang Clubs.

CRUNCH! CRUNCH! CRUNCH!

The giants swung horizontally or smashed down. Every blow landed like a Meteorite strike, pulverizing swathes of Lizardfolk into meat paste and leaving terrifying craters in the ground.

Their attack range was strictly controlled to the area in front of them, never once affecting their comrades beside them.

One Giant smashed the enemies before him with his club. Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted several Lizardfolk trying to sneak-attack another Giant’s flank.

He didn’t turn. Instead, he swatted at them with his free left hand as if they were flies.

SPLAT!

Several Lizardfolk were instantly turned into a bloody smear on the earthen wall.

High in the sky, Sun was in no hurry to descend. This Lizardfolk settlement had no Domain Level Guardian, so there was no reason for him to intervene.

The one hundred Pegasus Knights dove from the sky like silver arrows, their Javelins precisely reaping the lives of the Lizardfolk attempting to flee from the flanks.

The six Sky Dragons stirred up fierce winds, disrupting the Lizardfolk’s rear formations, their claws repeatedly tearing several Lizardman Warriors to shreds.

The entire battle was a one-sided slaughter.

The Lizardfolk’s numerical superiority, which they prided themselves on, seemed utterly futile against the absolute Power of the Hill Giants and the three-dimensional assault from the aerial forces.

Their counterattacks couldn’t even break through the giants’ coarse skin.

The battle was over in an hour.

When the last Lizardfolk fell, the entire tribe had been reduced to ruins.

Leaning on their blood-soaked Wolf Fang Clubs, the giants stood amidst a mountain of corpses and a sea of blood, panting heavily. But their eyes shone with an unprecedented light.

It was the light of victors.

Sun slowly descended into the center of the tribe, his satisfied gaze sweeping over his first batch of "Giant Knights."

These big fellows, while still a bit dim-witted, had learned how to turn their terrifying Power into a precise and deadly Battle Hammer that followed commands.

Bolin appeared from the rear with the Black Stone Knight Order and a large number of knightly retainers. He had received orders from Raylo to clean up the battlefield for the Sun Knight Order and collect the spoils of war.

When Bolin arrived with the logistics troops, this was the scene that greeted him.

The fourteen Hill Giants stood like statues upon the ruins. The bloodstains covering their bodies had solidified into dark red Armor under the setting sun. Their Refined Iron Wolf Fang Clubs were propped on the ground, with bits of flesh and tissue still slowly dripping from the heads.

The air was thick with the rich smell of blood and the characteristic stench of the swamp, a mixture that created a nauseating odor.

"My heavens."

A young knightly retainer’s face turned pale, and he couldn’t help but gag.

Bolin’s expression remained unchanged as he simply waved his hand.

"Hurry up. We have to finish before nightfall."

He had followed Raylo on many campaigns and had seen far more brutal scenes than this.

But the sheer physical destruction wrought by fourteen Hill Giants still sent a slight chill through his heart.

The Knights and retainers quickly got to work, skillfully collecting valuable materials and usable weapons and equipment from the Lizardfolk settlement.

The afterglow of the setting sun dyed the silhouette of Black Stone Castle a magnificent gold.

The figures of the Sun Knight Order appeared on the horizon.

Standing before the massive floor-to-ceiling window of his study with his hands behind his back, Raylo calmly watched the returning army.

Raylo’s gaze fell upon the Hill Giants.

They were no longer the chaotic, savage creatures he had first met.

Although their gait was still somewhat clumsy, with the occasional comical sight of them marching with the same arm and leg forward, their strained, upright chests, their firm grip on their weapons, and the confidence forged by victory in their eyes all clearly indicated that they were transforming into a true army.

Sun landed on the massive training grounds in front of the castle.

It issued commands in a resonant voice, directing the giants and Pegasus Knights to dismiss and rest.

Everything seemed orderly and methodical.

Seeing this, Raylo realized that Sun, the Giant Dragon, seemed to have rapidly grown into a competent commander.
