Gathering Wives with a System
Chapter 488: Legendary Grade Reward
Isaac grinned, and spoke,
’System, open the Legendary Gift Box!’
The box inside his mind shimmered, and its surface broke apart like fragments of light dissolving into the void.
Then, a single golden ticket appeared in its place, hovering calmly as if it had always been there.
A notification followed.
You have received: Fusion Ticket (Legendary) x1.
Isaac’s grin widened.
He pulled up the description without wasting a second.
Fusion Ticket
Grade: Legendary
Description: Can fuse any two artifacts. The success rate depends upon the compatibility between the two artifacts.
"Compatibility..." Isaac murmured under his breath.
It made sense. The closer the nature, purpose, or essence of two artifacts, the higher the chances of a successful fusion. A random combination would probably fail.
He chuckled.
"This is perfect."
He knew where to use it. Even better, since it was a ticket, it could be share with his wives.
...
The car slowed to a stop. Isaac and Sera stepped out. They went to the room where everyone was gathered.
"Hey guys, this is Sera. She is..." he greeted, glancing around.
Something felt off.
It took him only a moment to notice. The atmosphere was... tense. It was not openly hostile, but definitely strange. Their gazes weren’t on him.
They were on Sera.
Isaac exhaled quietly, then stepped forward.
"I guess you guys already know about her through the livestreams. She is Sera, an Apex-rank Human Overlord. She’ll be joining our team," he said, keeping his tone casual.
"Are you crazy?" Averon snapped. "Did you just pick up someone from the street? Didn’t you think about how strange it is that an Apex-rank Human Overlord is just walking around in the City and wants to work with us?"
He didn’t stop there.
"What were you thinking, recruiting her live like that? Do you have any idea what kind of reaction that will cause? The other Lords are already watching you closely."
Isaac met his gaze without flinching, and spoke, "It’s fine. With me, Avery, Eleanor, and Catherine around, the chances of her being able to backstab us are almost zero."
Averon frowned. "But—"
"And, the other Lords were already planning to act against us. Whether they get angry now or later doesn’t change anything," Isaac cut in smoothly.
That seemed to halt Averon for a moment, though his expression didn’t improve.
Before he could continue, another voice spoke.
"Are you going to keep picking up any beautiful woman you see?"
Alice.
Isaac’s lips twitched.
He opened his mouth, but before he could say anything, Sera stepped forward.
"Greetings, Saintess Alice. I understand what you might be thinking, but please don’t worry. I already have someone in my heart. You don’t need to be concerned about me," she said, her tone respectful.
Celia spoke, "But he is going to become the God of NTR. So having someone isn’t—"
Before she could finish, Isaac dragged her into the Mirror World.
The shift was instant. One moment she was there, the next she was gone.
Silence followed.
Averon had a confused expression.
"What God?" Sera asked slowly, her eyes narrowing as she turned to Isaac.
"She’s joking," he said, waving it off, feeling she would really ’set him straight’ if she found out that was his most probable future God Domain.
"Oh," Sera breathed a sigh of relief.
"Alright, everyone, head to the Great Dungeon’s entrance. It’s time we start the competition. Emily, stay with me for a second," he said, deliberately shifting the topic.
Alice snorted softly before turning away. Sera followed her, along with Averon, Arlene, and Eleanor. No one argued further, though they still gave Sera apprehensive looks.
As for Celia... she would stay in the Mirror World for a while.
It was a short detention.
Once the room emptied, only Isaac and Emily remained.
Emily floated closer, tilting her head slightly. "What happened?"
Isaac didn’t answer immediately. Instead, he asked, "How angry was Alice when she saw the livestream?"
Emily blinked, then shook her head lightly. "She wasn’t that angry."
That made Isaac raise an eyebrow.
"I think it’s because of what happened with Selene. Alice is... more open now. About you approaching other women."
"...It’s not like that this time. She’s Seraphina. The angel I told all of you about before. She had gone to Mother’s organization, and now that she’s back, she’s keeping an eye on me for some reason," he said.
Emily’s expression shifted.
Isaac went on, "I figured it would be better to keep her close. That way, I can get information about Mother. And at the same time, we gain her strength."
Emily’s eyes widened slightly.
She hadn’t expected that.
The woman who had just joined them so suddenly... was connected to something that deep.
Isaac expected questions from her. Instead, Emily moved closer.
She reached out and gently held his hand.
"I know you’re not comfortable with anything related to Mother. If dealing with Sera is difficult, you don’t have to force yourself. I can keep an eye on her instead," she said quietly.
Isaac looked at her for a second.
Then he chuckled softly and patted her head.
"Thanks. But I need to do this myself. I’ll have to face Mother eventually. It’s better if I prepare now," he said.
Emily stared at him, looking as if she wanted to say something, but in the end, she just nodded.
"Anyway, that’s not why I asked you to stay," Isaac said.
"Then?" Emily blinked.
"This." Isaac smiled slightly.
He was already holding her hand. As soon as he finished speaking, he transferred the item.
The Fusion Ticket appeared in her system.
Emily’s gaze shifted slightly upward, clearly reading the description.
"Use that to fuse your Phantom Core Extractor and Celestial Spirit Pact Token," Isaac said,
"Thank you."
"Don’t mention it," he replied.
At the same time, Isaac focused inward again.
’System, share the Fusion Ticket!’
A notification appeared immediately.
Fusion Ticket (Legendary) gained x1.
Isaac smiled faintly.
As expected, the sharing mechanic worked perfectly.
Meanwhile, Emily didn’t hesitate.
She activated the ticket.
