Evolving My Undead Legion In A Game-Like World
Chapter 1022 Level Up!
The wolf-like man and the six-eyed deer woman were not nearly as calm. That was what Michael called them now, as both had reverted back to their human forms.
The instant the domain shattered, blood spilled from the corners of the old man's mouth. As the domain owner, he had suffered the majority of the backlash. It was not enough to cripple him, and given some time he could even activate it again, but it was enough to affect him considerably.
Unfortunately for him, Michael had no intention of giving him time to recover. The moment he saw the two appear outside the collapsed domain, his eyes lit up.
"Got you."
KRAAAAABOOOOOOM!!!
Michael shot forward like a black comet. The old man's expression changed drastically.
"Protect me!"
The woman reacted instantly. Hundreds of water blades appeared around her. At the same time, countless waves surged forward in an attempt to intercept Michael.
Unfortunately, she was too late. Michael had already arrived.
KRAAAAAABOOOOOM!!!
His fist crashed directly into the old man's chest. The old man's ribs shattered instantly. His entire body folded inward before being blasted thousands of meters through the void. Blood exploded from his mouth. The force of the punch continued traveling through him, rupturing organs and tearing apart muscles.
The old man felt his vision darken. Too fast. The attack had come too fast.
Before he could even stabilize himself, Michael appeared again. The old man's eyes widened.
"No!"
KRAAAAAABOOOOOM!!!
The second attack landed. This time Michael's fist smashed directly into his face. Half the old man's skull collapsed. His body spun uncontrollably through the void while blood and shattered teeth scattered everywhere. The surrounding space distorted violently.
The old man had already reached the brink of death. His aura plummeted. His soul fluctuated violently.
The woman finally arrived. Her expression was filled with fury. "STOP!"
KRAAAAABOOOOOOM!!!
A gigantic tidal wave descended from above. Water dragons. Water spears. Water blades. Everything she could summon crashed toward Michael simultaneously.
Michael ignored all of it. A water spear pierced through his shoulder. A water blade sliced across his back. One dragon slammed into him hard enough to crack several bones.
Yet Michael did not stop. His eyes remained fixed on the old man.
The old man's face finally showed fear. At that moment he could sense death approaching closer than it had ever been. For the first time since becoming a Legendary being, he felt it truly near.
"Save me!"
He screamed toward the woman.
Unfortunately, Michael was already there. The third attack arrived.
KRAAAAAAAAAABOOOOOM!!!
The entire void shook. Michael's fist punched directly through the old man's chest.
The old man froze. His eyes widened. His mouth opened. Yet no words came out.
A moment later, cracks began spreading across his body. Then everything shattered simultaneously.
KRAAAAABOOOOOOM!!!
The old man's body exploded into pieces. Michael's hand twisted at an unnatural angle, but a moment later it instantly healed.
Silence descended.
The woman froze. For a brief moment, she could not believe what she was seeing.
A Legendary being. Dead just like that.
Michael slowly withdrew his arm. Blood dripped from his fist. Several wounds covered his body. His breathing was slightly heavy. Yet his eyes remained bright.
The moment the old man died, a notification panel appeared before him. At the same time, a sensation of strength filled him. Though minor, it was enough to heal him slightly.
Michael had levelled up.
More importantly, he had levelled to Level 75, which was the maximum level for Rank 3. This meant his rank advancement task had finally generated.
The moment the old man exploded apart, the woman finally reacted. The shock and disbelief vanished from her face. What replaced it was pure killing intent.
If Michael had paid more attention to his earlier suspicion, he would have noticed something. These two were definitely monster-kin, meaning a human had mated with their mother. Or perhaps their father. But there were two of them. Had that human mated with the monster twice, or were the two likely twins?
"You bastard!"
KRAAAAABOOOOOOM!!!
The surrounding void instantly transformed into a raging ocean. Countless rivers appeared from nowhere. Water dragons roared. Thousands of water spears condensed around her. Every attack she could unleash descended toward Michael simultaneously. The sheer fury behind the assault was enough to distort the surrounding void.
Unfortunately for her, Michael had already seen it coming.
KRAAAAABOOOOM!!!
His figure vanished. Several hundred water spears pierced through the place he had occupied moments earlier. The void exploded.
The woman did not stop. She had already realized something. Michael was exhausted. His mana reserves were low. His body was injured. His strongest treasure had consumed an absurd amount of energy. If there was ever a chance to kill him, it was now.
"Die!"
KRAAAAABOOOOOOM!!!
A colossal water dragon lunged toward Michael. At the same time, dozens of tidal blades cut through space from every direction.
Michael dodged the dragon. Unfortunately, he could not avoid everything. A water blade sliced across his chest. Another pierced through his thigh. A third exploded against his shoulder. Fresh blood sprayed into the void.
Yet Michael did not retreat. Instead, his eyes became colder. If she wanted his life, then he would exchange injuries for hers.
Without hesitation, Michael activated his Law Skill once more.
"Brutal Rebirth. First State."
KRAAAAAACK!!!
His heartbeat exploded like thunder. The strain that had only just begun fading immediately returned. His muscles tightened. His bones creaked. His lifeforce began burning once more. The familiar surge of power flooded his body.
The woman's expression changed.
KRAAAAABOOOOOOM!!!
Michael disappeared. The woman immediately retreated. Water surged around her. Defensive barriers appeared one after another. Water dragons moved to intercept him. ππ«ππ²π¨πππππ―ππΉ.ππ¨πΊ
Unfortunately, she was slower. Much slower.
KRAAAAAABOOOOOM!!!
Michael's fist smashed through the first barrier.
KRAAAAAABOOOOOM!!!
The second shattered.
KRAAAAAABOOOOOM!!!
The third exploded apart.
The woman's eyes widened. She immediately condensed a spear of abyssal water and thrust it forward.
Michael ignored it. The spear pierced directly through his abdomen. Blood exploded from his mouth. Yet his speed did not decrease.
The woman's heart sank. This madman. He was not even trying to defend. He was only trying to kill her.
Before she could retreat further, Michael arrived.
KRAAAAAABOOOOOM!!!
His fist smashed into her shoulder. The entire arm exploded. The woman screamed. Her body spun backward through the void.
Unfortunately, Michael was already following. The second attack arrived almost instantly.
KRAAAAAABOOOOOM!!!
His knee collided with her ribs. Bones shattered. Several organs ruptured. Blood poured from her mouth. Her aura immediately weakened.
Yet she was still alive. After all, she was a Legendary being. Not someone who could be killed so easily.
Unfortunately, Michael had no intention of giving her time to recover.
The woman finally panicked. For the first time since becoming a Rank 4 being, she felt genuine terror.
"No!"
She unleashed everything she had. Thousands of water blades erupted outward. Water dragons exploded. Tidal waves swallowed the surrounding void. Michael endured everything.
One blade nearly severed his left arm. A dragon shattered several ribs. Another attack tore through his back. His injuries rapidly accumulated. Yet every wound only brought him closer, and at the same time filled him with strength.
The woman's face became increasingly pale.
The third attack arrived.
KRAAAAAAAAAABOOOOOM!!!
Michael's fist smashed directly into her chest. The woman's eyes widened. Time seemed to freeze.
Then cracks began spreading across her body. Her soul. Her Law. Her origin. Everything began collapsing simultaneously.
"Nβ¦ noβ¦"
Those were her final words.
KRAAAAABOOOOOOOOM!!!
Her body exploded into countless fragments.
