Chapter 167: Ch-167: Return to Barony

Wooosh

"Welcome to the Silvernum Barony, ladies," Victor said with a charming smile.

After the fight was over, Victor directly used a teleportation token and teleported with Rina and Emily to the Silvernum Barony.

Emily and Rina were too surprised to react as they stared at the scenery before them.

"What kind of buildings are these?" Rina exclaimed, seeing the gigantic futuristic skyscrapers.

"These are buildings designed for civilians," Victor shamelessly took credit for the blueprint he had bought from the system. He could understand their shock, as skyscrapers had already become a thing of the past, not to mention these were futuristic ones. Even he had been surprised when he first saw them.

Rina did not say anything and walked toward one of them and touched it. Her mouth parted in shock. "These... are all Epic Rank."

"What! Epic Rank?" Emily also quickly put her hand on the building, and the rank appeared on her screen.

’Holy, what kind of materials did he use to create an Epic Rank item... where did he even get such materials?’ Emily was dumbfounded again after seeing the details. She knew the materials needed to create even Superior and Rare-ranked items were very scarce, and even Duke families would struggle to provide them. She could not help but wonder how a Barony she had never even heard of in the past would have such resources.

Woosh

Everyone’s attention turned toward the entrance when they felt two people approaching, and Rina and Emily saw a butler and an extremely beautiful woman, on par with Rina, walking toward them.

’This butler is Tier 3... he is as strong as Emily.’ Rina cried out inwardly. She did not expect such a small Barony to have a Tier 3 expert. Then she looked at Amber. ’This woman... I can feel even greater danger emanating from her than from the butler.’

Not only her, but even Emily had the same thoughts.

"Victor, you are back, chu~" Amber did not care about anything and directly jumped into his arms and hugged him as her large breasts pressed against his chest. She then gave him a long, deep French kiss.

Rina’s eyes twitched seeing their interaction.

"Who are they?" After Amber disconnected her lips from his, she looked at Rina and Emily with a raised eyebrow and asked him.

"This is Rina Hall, the heir of the Hall Duchy, and this is her maid, Emily. And this is Amber Oreburgh, the heir of the Oreburgh County and my lover, and that is my butler, Edward," Victor introduced them to each other.

"Hall Duchy?" Both Amber and Edward looked surprised and greeted them politely.

"Welcome to the Silvernum Barony," Amber said as she curtsied, but she looked at Rina with a glint in her eyes.

"Thanks for having us," Rina said with a polite smile and then turned to Victor and said, "Lord Victor, we would like to see the Mechs, if that is not a bother."

"What’s the rush? Why don’t you take a tour of the Barony while I go and freshen up?" Victor suggested.

"Fine," Rina agreed, as she was also curious about the territory.

------

After they separated, Victor wanted to assign a guide to them, but he reconsidered and started wandering around his territory.

Rina and Emily, who were in awe while witnessing the large futuristic buildings, suddenly paused and turned their heads toward the distance as they heard the sounds of fighting.

"Hey, what’s going on there? What’s that sound?" Emily asked a nearby pedestrian, who froze and widened his eyes upon seeing the beauty of Rina and Emily.

Both of them sighed, and then Emily asked again, "Hey, snap out of your daze. What’s going on there?"

"Ah... what?" The pedestrian snapped out of his daze and answered, "There? The army of Silvernum is using the Mechs that Lord Victor invented to spar."

"Mechs!" Rina’s eyes lit up when she heard this. This was the main reason she had come to Silvernum Barony, and she had been waiting for Victor to freshen up and show them the Mechs.

"I see... you must be new. If you’re curious, then you can go to the training field where they spar. It’s open to public viewing. In fact, many of the residents go there to watch them spar... we all believe that one day Lord Victor will become a King because of the Mechs," the man replied, pride evident in his voice. Like him, everyone had complete faith in Victor and believed their home would one day become the Silvernum Kingdom.

"I see, thank you," Rina said with a polite smile and walked past the man with Emily.

Rina and Emily walked toward the training grounds. Instead of training grounds, it would be more accurate to call it a coliseum, and the crowd was so dense that even the entrance was packed with people standing to watch the fight.

"This is quite a crowd," Rina said, surprise evident in her voice.

Bang!

Boom!

Woosh!

As they got closer, the sounds of explosions rang across the field, and what seemed to be a missile was about to hit the crowd, but it struck a blue barrier that had been invisible before the impact.

"Mana Forcefield." Emily raised an eyebrow in surprise. Forcefields were expensive to maintain, and now they saw one being used just for a sparring match.

"How rich is he?" Even Rina’s lips twitched seeing this. Judging by its quality, maintaining it would require one or multiple Tier 1 Cores. Only duchies like her family could afford something like this.

"Excuse me," Rina said as she patted the shoulder of a man in front of her. She wanted the crowd to move.

"Get lost," the man said without turning back, and Emily’s face instantly darkened.

"Miss Rina, that’s not how you deal with commoners," Emily said with a snort. Then she directly put her hand on the man’s shoulder and gave it a squeeze.

"Ahhh!" the man suddenly shouted, and his cry caused the others to look back and see a beautiful woman squeezing his shoulder.

"All of you, move out of the way," Emily said as she leaked a bit of her killing intent, causing many faces to turn pale with fright, and they quickly parted.

"Emily, you are too rough," Rina said as she rubbed her temples.

"It still worked," Emily said with a shrug as she walked alongside Rina.

As soon as they entered, their bodies froze as they looked at the large metallic behemoths in front of them.

"What!" both of them exclaimed.
