Eternal Emerald Dragon
Chapter 1780 - 1779 - 6 Elemental Epoch Begins
Lind stood in the glassed area as he slowly healed. He felt like he could happily collapse but he did not dare.
He used what little strength he had to make very sure the Bastard was gone.
"Haro." The bald man appeared with elixirs in hand. He smiled as the spirit attended to him. A few artifacts also appeared that swept the area but no reaction came at all.
It was an odd feeling. No Fiend Qi. No trace of Fiend anything at all.
It would take some investigation, but he suspected the last niche corners of Fiend Qi would also fade soon. The Bastard was the anchor, as the original Fiend, and with full intention to pull all life into him.
Honestly, it was more horrifying the more he realized how much the many realms had been spared simply because they were not worth absorbing.
The Realm Refiner was likely from his earlier days. He must have realized how much life he needed to advance as a Divine Realm and experimented with the effect of whole worlds being absorbed.
{Thank you, Lind Frey.} Surprise flashed as the chorus of voices he recognized as the spirits of Heaven and Earth spoke to him.
He nodded but then became serious. The vile words still echoed in his mind. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
[It is not over. He is still out there.] Haro heard him too and also became grim. His dark visage then broke into a sigh as he patted Lind’s shoulder.
"Master, you just won a long and arduous battle. Take a moment to reflect and enjoy it. You have avenged Lanbao and so many others." Lind was about to nod then froze.
He was able to move and quickly summoned a violet crystal sphere mounted in a black and gold metal frame. He infused his Qi and a field of energy that made Haro shiver went outward.
Nothing. No reaction. That was not right! Where were they?!
{We took them into our care. Many were mangled beyond hope. Many are missing. You know what this means?}
The spirits spoke once more before retracting. He calmed but also became angry.
They did not name anyone important to him but the implication was clear. When the original Bastard cut off the current incarnation, it took from him!
No wonder he was hiding, he had had to recover!
"Master–" Lind held up his hand. It did not need to be asked. It was what the Bastard would do to make him feel worse.
It was a trap to make him rush and have a weak foundation when he faced the original.
He sighed before finally trying to fly. Pain lanced his body entirely. Even dragon flight refused to work. He then summoned a simple disc artifact and stepped up on it.
Haro returned to his ring and they left the scene. The Bastard was dead but the original put a final twist of the knife to remind them all he was waiting to consume them.

If the end of the Final Fiend War had brought celebrations, it was made paltry compared to the death of the Great One.
It was heavily confirmed to the point mortal realms actually received contact directly from the Divine Lands. Barren Realms that had no bridge to the Heaven Realm lands suddenly had them built enmasse.
No corner was left alone to the point that special and Inheritance Realms were also included!
Once 5 centuries passed and all Fiend Qi vanished, a massive celebration was unleashed. A breath all had held in their hearts was let loose.
Wicked powers actually enjoined them, assuming they were not following the Fiend path themselves. It was odd to see bloodthirsty demonic and human groups in the streets buying rounds for righteous enemies as if there had never been enmity at all.
Old cultivators emerged and encouraged younger generations without demanding payment or other compensation. It was time to follow the example of Lind Frey and his organizations of spreading knowledge that can improve foundations.
There were other changes the more powerful cultivators noticed.
Heaven and Earth had changed. The Celestials were one obvious thing as it was clear the race had been nearly forced to become Fiends again at the last battle. It was now recorded that the Great One had sinned so badly he brought down an entire race with him!
Further, Lind Frey spread as much of the confirmed truth he knew. There were still lost epochs but the destruction of the Western Continent was from the original ascension of the Great One!
Back in the celebrations, there was one more shift across all worlds.
The 6 elementals were now in full contact with cultivation manuals! Before, it had trickled down from the Divine Lands but only Lind Frey’s original Celestial Fields had complete expression of the segment long seen as defective by all worlds.
It was the most dramatic shift as whole new levels of power arose seemingly overnight. Even those with imperfect World Realm foundations had a chance to recover and make it the Sky Realm at least depending on how badly their foundation had been.
In just a few centuries, the Heaven Realm ranks were full of them! The fact they skipped the Star Tier straight to the Moon Tier made it insane how quickly they rose up.
In honor of it and of Lind Frey, the Master Tiers declared a new epoch had begun. It was the 6 Elemental Epoch.
Calendars were updated as no one objected. It was said Lind Frey only smiled and was honored so many benefited from his work.
The celebrations were also re-enacted every 10 years. It was marked by art and expressions of the final battle with Lind Frey’s massive dragon facing the ashen black figure. The tribulation lighting had been engraved forever in the minds of those that had witnessed it.
Statues were erected and the dragon race preened a bit more since it was one of their races that brought about the end of the Fiend race.
During such celebrations, it became common to see elders of sects holding sermons for several days answering questions or lecturing on their experiences. It was the aspect that honored Lind Frey’s attitude as he was also known for holding open sermons every few years.
As the millennia passed, the declaration of the 6 Elemental Epoch seemed to come to pass! Apprentice Tier 6 elementals sprang up almost in droves at once! It was clear Heaven and Earth were compensating for so many epochs of repression and death.
Other cultivators also seemed to have a higher than normal chance of being geniuses. Experienced Master Tiers knew such a phase would pass but the worlds were forever changed.
There was far less friction still, yet space was getting consumed ever more. Even so, many alliances and factions that formed were more solidly connected than ever before. The shared suffering of the Final Fiend War had made supreme powers more inclined to value people over profits.
Whether that would last was unknown but none could deny the shocking improvement of obtaining resources to allow cultivators to grow. It made many wonder if the conflicts of old had wasted too much manpower and resources when negotiation and friendship had better results.
Still, a few thousand years was nothing to the ancient Master Tier. If it lasted a few million years, they would reconsider their old ways.
Lind Frey officially stayed in the Blessed Crimson Range and a sort of paradise was set up there. The city settled on the peaks allowed humans, beasts, demons, and all races to find a place to grow and trade.
He seemed to be preparing for a new seclusion or journey soon and the Master Tiers understood.
The first Mystery was much easier than the next. The final Mystery would be a pain but considering how young he was, none were sure if he would not surprise them once more.
The pressure of the war had been awful yet it was a motivator that pushed all of them to grow far beyond the billions of years they had previously spent cultivating.
It was always true that combat and life or death moments can break bottlenecks far more than any seclusion or meditation on the Dao.
The era was peaceful and prosperous with many signs of strong cooperation continuing in the future. Those that disrupt or corrupt still existed but they found many more roadblocks trying to insinuate into stronger powers.
It would not last so the Master Tiers did their best to just keep it going as smoothly as possible.
Oddly, the Western Sun Isles, despite geographical isolation across most of it, had the fewest issues. There was just no way to sneak into many places because they were too small to not be under constant observation.
It was also true that Golden Army Sun, as he had become known, was very difficult to predict. The monkey True Lord was able to play the fool while putting his enemies in the worst binds possible.
In all, the start of the epoch was going to go down as the best time after so much darkness. There were times many lost hope, yet now, after so many had died, they saw the fruit of their actions.
Lind Frey was also not imposing his rule as some feared. Such a key figure could have risen on that momentum to unify all the powers with little resistance at first.
Yet, the Divine Lord knew well the impossibility of keeping a single continent under control, let alone the entire Divine Lands.
Even so, those that carried the current symbol of the emerald dragon with all 18 elements surrounding it on their robes or carriages were given great respect.
From the dawn of the new epoch, 100,000 years passed so quickly even mortals thought that it was too soon.
Lind Frey suddenly vanished from his home and no one could find him. It was not seclusion nor was it any threat. The man simply chose to leave when no one was looking.
Many wondered where he could be but no one actively looked. The Master Tiers and other Divine Realm cultivators knew the truth.
Lind Frey was in pursuit of his next Mystery and eventually, the Eternal Realm.
