After class, Mu Tiantian packed up her files and left the classroom, intending to go straight back to the office.

She hadn’t walked far when she heard a somewhat familiar voice behind her.

"Tian Tian!"

Mu Tiantian stopped and turned around, seeing Shu Kaiqi walking quickly toward her with a smile on his face, wearing a khaki coat. He reached her in no time.

Mu Tiantian’s mind abruptly flashed to the conversation she had with Bai Chenyao earlier; the only fortunate thing was that Bai Chenyao was not here now, otherwise it would be extremely awkward and embarrassing for her.

"Teacher Shu!"

Hearing Mu Tiantian’s very formal address, Shu Kaiqi was slightly taken aback, a hint of sadness flashed in his eyes, but it quickly disappeared, his handsome and gentle face maintaining its usual smile.

"Earlier I saw you hurrying here, were you late for class?"

Mu Tiantian smiled faintly and nodded.

"But it’s alright, I made it. If Teacher Shu has nothing else, I’ll go back to the office first."

Having barely gotten to see Mu Tiantian, Shu Kaiqi was unwilling to let her leave so easily. His handsome and gentle face showed a tender smile, his voice as sweet as honey.

"Tian Tian, I heard your uncle had an accident and is in the hospital?"

Mu Tiantian was stunned and looked at Shu Kaiqi in surprise.

Shu Kaiqi smiled again, looking at Mu Tiantian and explaining.

"When I was a child, I visited Uncle Gu’s house, did you forget? Now he’s hospitalized; if I didn’t know I wouldn’t care, but since I do, it’s only right I visit him. Don’t you think so, Tian Tian?"

Mu Tiantian admitted Shu Kaiqi was right, but she didn’t want to visit Uncle Gu with Shu Kaiqi.

"Uncle is in the 311 ward, inpatient department two of the City Hospital, you can go directly."

Shu Kaiqi had already guessed this answer; though somewhat disappointed, it was not unexpected. After thanking her, he didn’t say more and, after greeting Mu Tiantian, turned and left.

Seeing Shu Kaiqi leave, Mu Tiantian breathed a sigh of relief.

Secretly wondering if Bai Chenyao and Bai Lanlan or if Mu Haiyun worked at the same company, meeting occasionally, chatting sometimes, could she bear it?

The answer was... well, no!

Thinking about it, Mu Tiantian’s mood soured instantly.

Now that she’s teaching here, should she just leave because of Shu Kaiqi?

She thought it too simple at first, but Bai Lanlan and Mu Haiyun’s repeated provocations made her very uncomfortable.

Plus, Bai Chenyao’s words at noon made her start to reconsider her situation here.

At least Bai Chenyao barely spoke to Bai Lanlan and Mu Haiyun, and there was hardly any interaction.

The more Mu Tiantian thought about it, the more she felt she was quite excessive, even her mood was heavy when she returned to the office.

Him agreeing to Mu Tiantian teaching at the Administrative University naturally had plans long ago.

After visiting Gu Qingfeng in the City Hospital, Shu Kaiqi returned home and received a call from the school leadership.

Although they were very tactful, Shu Kaiqi understood what they meant.

"The principal is kidding; I understand. I’ll go to school tomorrow morning to handle the resignation procedures."

After hanging up the phone, Shu Kaiqi took a cigarette from a nearby box and lit it, surrounded by smoke in the twilight, obscuring his original appearance.
