Dual Cultivation With My Yandere Disciples
Chapter 92: Starlink Island! A Dissapointed Young Man!
Along the shores of Starlink Island, countless low-level cultivators were going about their daily routines.
Some tended to the spirit farms filled with Star Seaweed, while others stood aboard spirit boats along the coast, casting their lines in hopes of catching valuable spirit fish.
This was the reality for most low-level cultivators, not only on Starlink Island, but throughout the Nine Origin Seas.
To earn a handful of Spirit Stones in hopes of advancing their cultivation, they worked hard tirelessly day after day.
Worse still, every day carried the risk of death.
That was because...
A dark shadow suddenly emerged beneath the churning waters.
Without warning, a colossal shark burst from the ocean depths. Its maw stretched wide as it lunged toward a nearby spirit boat, intending to swallow it whole in a single bite.
This was not an ordinary shark, but a powerful sea beast.
"An Abyss Shark! Everyone, retreat!"
A panicked shout rang out from the shoreline.
The next moment, a figure shot into the air. Looking down at the demon, he raised his weapon and unleashed a strike from afar.
He held nothing back, paying no attention to the cultivators aboard the attacked spirit boat.
The attack swept toward both the shark and the boat itself, evidently intending to eliminate everything in its path.
Unfortunately, the result was far from what he expected.
Just as the strike was about to land, the Abyss Shark turned its head and opened its jaws even wider.
The sword light, powerful enough to cleave a Foundation Establishment cultivator in two, vanished into its mouth.
Not only did it fail to injure the beast, but it seemed to have been devoured entirely, becoming its nourishment instead.
"A Core Formation demon!"
The island guard’s expression changed drastically.
’Damn it! What’s a Core Formation sea beast doing this close to shore? Could the sea beasts be preparing to attack human settlements?’
The thought sent a chill through his heart. It had been a long time since this last happened, but the memories were still fresh in his mind.
Without another moment’s hesitation, he suddenly turned and fled.
He didn’t spare a single glance for the cultivators below. Whether they lived or died had nothing to do with him.
They could only blame their bad luck!
His retreat plunged everyone into despair. The guard was the only Foundation Establishment cultivator in the area.
Now that he had fled, their last hope had been shattered.
A group of Qi Refining cultivators facing a Core Formation demon had only one possible ending.
How could they contend against it?
Yet just as hopelessness began to spread among the crowd, the shark suddenly froze.
Its body remained still in place, as though time itself had stopped.
A flicker of terror flashed in its eyes.
Then.
Bang!
The demon exploded.
Its body burst into a cloud of blood mist. Its remains never even had the chance to fall into the sea.
An invisible force swept through the air, erasing every trace of it from existence.
Silence fell over the coastline. No one understood what had happened and why the sea beast had suddenly disappeared.
Just as they began to doubt their own eyes, three figures descended from the sky.
Two women accompanied a young man, one on either side.
Both possessed beauty that went against common sense. They were more stunning than any woman these people had seen before.
One had flowing crimson hair and fiery eyes.
Although her appearance was stunning, there was also a hint of untamed ferocity on her face, like a sleeping Phoenix waiting for the moment it could spread its wings and plunge the world into its flames.
The other woman was cold and aloof.
She resembled a goddess who had wandered into the mortal world, her indifferent gaze calmly observing everything around her.
Yet neither woman appeared to be the leader of their group. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
Anyone could see that they stood half a step behind the young man, as though they were merely accompanying him.
Under normal circumstances, such a sight would have been shocking.
Such beautiful women could easily serve as Holy Maidens of the major factions scattered throughout the Nine Origin Seas.
Yet strangely enough, no one found it difficult to accept.
Because the young man was every bit as extraordinary as they were.
His features were as handsome as the women were beautiful, while his natural demeanor carried an air of authority.
Although he emitted no visible aura and seemed no different from a mere mortal, no one dared underestimate him.
After all, the fate of the Abyss Shark was still fresh in their minds.
Countless thoughts raced through the crowd.
A moment later, someone reacted.
"Thank you, Senior, for saving my life!"
A young cultivator immediately dropped to his knees and kowtowed, his face flushed with excitement.
Upon seeing his actions, the people around him reacted quickly.
One after another, they followed suit.
Some knelt, others bowed respectfully, while a few merely lowered their heads in respect.
Regardless of the gesture, no one dared to stand still.
In the sky, the crimson-haired woman’s hands clenched behind her back. She instinctively lifted her chin.
Though she tried to suppress it, the corners of her lips kept twitching, as if she found it difficult to contain her excitement.
Clearly, she was enjoying the scene very much.
Her two companions, however, remained calm.
At least until the young man finally spoke up.
With a casual wave of his sleeve, a gentle force spread outward, lifting everyone to their feet.
"There’s no need for this," he said calmly. "As a human cultivator, slaying demons is simply what I should do. Everyone should return to their work."
The first cultivator opened his mouth, seemingly wanting to say more.
Yet, by the time he raised his head, the three figures were already gone.
It was as though the previous scene had been an illusion, a mere mirage of the immortals’ descent into this world.
But just as he was wondering whether everything had been a dream, his companion’s chuckle jolted him awake.
"Ye Xuan, are you still standing there in a daze? Hehe, it’s sure nice to be young."
The cultivator grinned.
"Don’t tell me you’re hoping that Senior might take a liking to you and accept you as a disciple."
"Stop dreaming. Judging from how easily he killed that demon, that Senior is at least a Core Formation expert."
"You couldn’t even get into the Seven Winds Sect. What makes you think someone like that would notice you?"
Hearing the mocking words of his companion, which indeed pointed out his hidden thoughts, Ye Xuan flushed red.
He clenched his fists, unwilling to admit it.
Yet deep down in his heart, he couldn’t help but feel that he had missed his only opportunity of changing his life.
