Chapter 54: 2v2

"Yeah, that’s probably them shouting at each other." Turning his head away, he noticed a presence, or two, one person at Virtuoso and another one at Soul Formation approaching.

"Hm... Oh, you see them approaching them? Get ready, they’re going to start fighting." Moving her hand to her sheath, she took it out as fast as possible.

Getting up, Caelus stepped back a few steps, watching them slow down and land right in front of them, two people he couldn’t recognize, but the clothing they wore was a light blue color, almost similar to a kimono from his world, though with other differences.

"What are you here for? You know the planet is big, right? Let alone the Equator."

"This is not about how big the planet is. We are here to take this Wyve-"

"Dragon." A sigh as he had to correct them.

"As if you’re a Dragon, you don’t show any signs of being one, like talons or horns."

Blinking at them, Caelus didn’t even try arguing against them since he doubted they’d listen in the first place. "And, you aren’t taking me just because you got annoyed I killed someone for hurting a kid."

"Hurting a Kid? Oh, that little girl Yun Li talked about, who cares? If you aren’t from the Crimson Moon Empire or a Dragon, then you’re worthless." A hint of irritation in his voice; on the other hand, the lady next to him, older and more calm, stood, looking at Tellus eye to eye.

"If nothing is worthwhile outside of your Empire or Dragons, then why should I find you worthwhile?" Caelus’s eyes remained the same, making sure they didn’t narrow or change to show what he was feeling. "I’ll stall this as long as possible so my Mana can heal."

On the contrary, he was also excited to try to converse with someone who wouldn’t change their mind. "Finally, I can use my studies to my advantage."

After all those thoughts for one tenth of a second, because his Brain was processing it at his maximum speed. The other man replied. "Oh? You think you’re actually strong enough to judge me? As if you would be able to do that, you’re a-"

Some blood spurted out, flying into the air, though it wasn’t enough to be like the one from the movies that he watched. The guy healed his head back just as quickly, though, and stepped back, the other lady grabbing the blade to throw Tellus and follow.

[Yun Zhen - 97% Mana Reserves]

[Yunxi - 100% Mana Reserves]

"Okay, so that takes a lot of Mana to regenerate. I’ll just keep that noted."

As Zhen rushed to Caelus, he looked at the guy moving slowly for an odd reason. "Isn’t he the same Stage as me in Virtuoso?"

Grabbing his head, Caelus stood there holding it with pure confusion, launching ten rends at his face. He let go, letting Zhen fly back with the sheer amount of knockback he got. "Oh, I had Horizon Step on, oops."

He forgot he changed what Horizon Step’s surroundings even looked like when it was different. "I got so used to using it, I just got rid of that filter so I could tell..." He didn’t laugh, though his shoulders shook instead when holding it back.

[Tellus vs Yunxi]

While Caelus and Yun Zhen fought, up in the Sky, Tellus balanced herself, tightly gripping her blade as she pushed herself back using the wind before Yunxi could try landing another attack. Keeping her stance, she charged in a straight line, making no change in her movement. Even when keeping pushing each fifth step in a different direction to feint her.

Yunxi moved her hand ahead to grab the blade, yet this time, coating it in Mana, she swung down and released a strike in the shape of an X, even when only cutting once to punish trying to block a slash.

Launching her back, Tellus finally spoke. "Return to Gaia."

Yet her voice was not as loud; it was not a technique from the Literature path, but instead her intent. The ground underneath flew up, gripping. Yunxi’s leg as Tellus threw her blade forward with her full force, the air around it having no time to move and turning into plasma. "That does more damage by the looks of it, so might as well."

As it crashed right through the chest, it took the Soul with it, cutting into it deep. "Wait, if I fight them then they’ll go for my soul as well, ugh, I have to take the pill." Taking out the pill, she swallowed it. Pulling her sword back, it let go of the Soul, which changed its position back to Yunxi’s inside. Who broke free from what was restraining her, as it was putting the Weight of the Earth on the restraints.

"Hm, you have nice tricks." Almost dismissive despite the compliment. Her stomach healed, though the soul-damaging stayed right now. "But I’ll have to take you out. If you don’t die and he does, then it’d be good if I took you as one of my servants."

Yunxi grinned as she flew right over to Tellus, grabbed her by the face, and flew down, slamming into the ground. Pulling her head back up, she slammed down once more, repeating ten times before finally letting go and lifting her leg. "I hope you don’t like losing your legs."

Ready to crash down, Tellus, though bleeding, teleported farther away, standing upright with her clothing more dirty. "That did basically nothing. What is she thinking-"

Feeling a pull, in a near instant, appeared in front of Yunxi from its immense gravity. Pulling her hand back, she threw it forward, and Tellus felt the insides of her body begin to rearrange themselves.

[Caelus vs Yun Zhen]

Caelus ran ahead, though only with 60% of his Mana left due to the Dreamscape forcing him to waste a lot to help her escape. He believed he could do it. Zhen stood upright as he formed a sphere of Mana, pointing it ahead. It flew towards Caelus like a beam. Though he wasn’t dumb enough to continue forward like that, even when stepping to the side, his shoulder got chipped, evicerating his scales and skin, only for it to regenerate.

"Looks like you CAN get hurt, then-"

Instead of shouting his Techniques this time, Caelus launched hundreds of Rends directly to Yun Zhen, with the end being an enlarged Advanced Rend in the Net shape to make it harder to dodge.

"Hah, Cheap tricks!" He jumped back, making sure they missed him and crashed into the ground or trees, though still moving farther back to not get overwhelmed.

Teleporting right behind Zhen, he pushed his hand right against his back. Space cracked as it launched him right into the net, and the rest of the Rends he didn’t take care of. Forming a Barrier to protect himself from his own technique, treating it like a shield.

Caelus noticed how Zhen was fighting. "You aren’t taking this seriously; you clearly know how to fight, yet you don’t seem to want to." Confused why he was doing it, Caelus wasn’t a big fan of fighting for no reason or even holding back when it could’ve been a life or death situation.

"Well, that’s because Elder Sister Yunxi will help!" Shouting at Caelus after recovering from regenerating his entire body.

"Your Sister is fighting my Girlfriend." Pointing to the side, Zhen could see them clashing, though barely visible in some moments and too fast in other moments.

"Shit, well I have to take him seriously now, can’t believe I have to do that for lizards." Getting up, he dusted his clothing even when nothing was there.

"...Does he think he’s some sort of Main character?" Incredibly confused why he needed to do that. But, since he was going to take it seriously, at least he assumed, Caelus kept his Guard up. Waiting for the next attack to come from this spoiled kid.

"Get Ready!" Rushing forward, Zhen bent down instead of staying at eye level for Caelus, who he assumed was looking ahead, throwing a ball of lightning right to Caelus with the clouds covering the sky as if they were to rain. Lightning struck directly on Caelus as the ball held fifty times the amount of that same lightning.

Caelus, ready to retaliate, didn’t expect him to go down and attack from there. The ball crashed into him and sent him flying back; the feeling of fifty strikes of lightning fried his organs for a moment, since it was made of Mana. His Supreme Foundation protected his Brain as the Electricity from it tried to travel up there, cutting its connection to the rest of his body for only a moment before it went away and restored the connection.

For a moment, everything but his head had no signals going through it. "Okay, that was weird as hell, I’m not- Okay. I’ll do it again if I need to."

[Tellus vs Yunxi]

Protecting her chest, the punch connected and launched her so far back that she reached halfway across the continent just from the knockback. Though not turning to paste like people normally would because she’d used Mana to negate and reduce the insane amount of damage that transferred. "She looks different now."

Heading right over to Yunxi, Tellus increased her speed almost double for that short moment, grabbing her neck and throwing her down, using Mana to create another blade. She threw it down right at Yunxi’s chest, slamming her into the ground. Tellus flew down. Tellus stopped right above Yunxi, her sword poised as her Sword Domain opened. Once it finished, the Mana Blade dissipated.

Tellus flew back while still in the air; the ground underneath them was ’fake’ in the sense that they could do nothing to hold back, and Gaia wouldn’t be damaged in the slightest. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

Holding her blade up, Tellus swung down, not speaking as she didn’t want to distract herself or entertain this lady. The gravity on this planet grew fifteenfold, pushing her down as the Mana around it grew in size, slamming right into Yunxi’s head. She tried to resist it with Mana.

Almost as clean as cutting someone’s head off. The extended attack completely exhausted Yunxi’s body, leaving only the Soul until Yunxi could regenerate. But-

"This shall end now, so I shall make it quick."

Sheathing her blade, she flew down, grabbing it roughly, pouring more and more Mana into it as it began glowing brighter, similar to overloading the Brain with information, for this, it would be overloading the Soul with Foreign Mana. Tellus placed the Mana quickly enough that it could mix with the Soul, forcing it to fight itself and slowly disintegrate.

[Yun Zhen vs Caelus]

Flying back, Caelus watched Zhen follow him, finding it amusing. "Following without thinking about what I’m trying to do?"

Throwing blasts of Mana right at Caelus, he rushed forward faster to get to Caelus. "STOP RUNNING LIKE A COWARD!" his face turning lightly red for obvious reasons.

"Oh, you think I’m running?" Caelus finally stopped, stepping to the side as Zhen flew right past him. "I won’t kill you unless you choose not to change."

Zhen turned back, stopping after having already passed him. "As if you could kill m-"

[Yunxi - Dead]

[Yun Zhen - 40% Mana Reserves]

"Be serious. Actually, tell me how much of a chance you have with less than half your Mana left?" He interrupted, not letting the guy try to talk big just to get himself killed.

"I COULD BEAT YOU WITH NO MANA! You’re just a fil-"

"Well. You’ve picked Death." Sighing once. "Paradox Movement."

As he spoke, Yun Zhen was frozen in place, this time for a longer duration.

Pulling his hand back in the arrow shape. He looked towards the guy. Waiting to see if he was going to accept defeat or continue shouting.

"COME ON, DO IT! You wouldn’t dare! My Father is the-"

The Arrow formed completely, throwing it ahead. It expanded to cover a citywide area, compressing it directly to Yun Zhen, who forced the damage to concentrate even more. For something that’d affect the entire place, it went down directly to him. The Sphere became a pillar reaching the skies.
