" Okay, there doesn’t seem to be anything wrong with your eyes sir, you’re good to go." The doctor gently tapped him on the shoulder then left.

’ Was I imagining things?’ The lawyer thought to himself. He got off the hospital bed and put on his shoes.

When he stood up he met a bloody face staring directly at him. " Ahhhhhh." He jumped back and fell on the floor.

The nurses rushed inside and picked him up. " Help me you have to help me, she’s after me, she’s going to kill me!" He shouted.

Before the hospital staff could stop him be bolted out. He ran all the way to his car and drove off.

He took a deep breath, his hands were shaking uncontrollably as he gripped the steering wheel.

His eyes darted up and through the rearview mirror be saw the girl sitting in the back seat. He swerved to the side.

The car drove off the road and hit a tree and came to a stop. The lawyer went unconscious.

When he woke up again, there were people around him trying to pull him out of the car which had caught fire.

But the doors locked tightly, the flames continued to spread. " HELP HELP ME!" He struggled to kick the door open.

He felt breathing behind him and slowly turned his head. The girl sat behind him watching him.

" Ahhhhhh!" He screamed and tried to jump through the windshield but it was harder than he had expected.

He just ended up hurting himself, the girl drew closer centimetre by centimetre making his heart freeze with fear.

She reached out with her hand, her black nails merely a few centimetres from his face. He closed his eyes and waited for death.

" Come on sir, we got you." He was pulled out of the car. When he opened his eyes he was lying on the ground.

He looked down at his crotch in embarrassment even though the people around him said nothing.

When faced with that ghost girl he ended up peeing himself. He stood up and without thanking them he left.

He ran back home, along the way he kept looking around to see if she was following him but he didn’t see her.

It took him less than an hour to reach his house. He locked himself in his room and closed his eyes.

As soon as he did, the burning sensation returned. He opened them and screamed. ’ I thought this was over.’

Ever since going to the hospital, closing his eyes has not been an issue for him. He took up and tried to walk out.

He was going back to that hospital but just as he reached the door, it locked itself tightly. He tried his key but it didn’t work.

Wind picked up inside his house, he ran towards the open window and just as he was about to reach it, it closed itself shut.

The light flickered twice then went off, the temperature dropped. His own breath started freezing the moment it left his body.

Drop drop drop, he heard wet footsteps all around him. " Please, please don’t kill me, it wasn’t my fault I swear." He cried.

Haaaaaa, he felt cold breath on his neck, a hand as cold as ice touched his shoulder from behind.

" Ahhhhhh!" He turned around but there was nobody there. " IT WASN’T MY FAULT! it wasn’t my fault."

No matter how hard he shouted, the cold breath and wet footsteps never stopped, they drew closer and closer.

The lawyer ran to his office, he opened a shelf and took out a gun. " STOP STOP RIGHT THERE OR I’LL SHOOT!"

" It’s hurt it’s hurrrt so bad why why won’t the pain end, please please help me, the pain won’t end. Why is this happening?"

He heard a whisper, a painful whisper in a voice of a young woman.." It’s hurt so much, it’s hurt so much.

You, you did this, you’re the reason the pain won’t end." The whisper turned into a shriek. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢

The lawyer saw her again, blood gushed out of her body. Her arms and legs were twisted in strange angles.

She shrieked and lunged at him. " AHHHHHH STAND BACK!" BANG BANG BANG.

He fired three shots and the ghost disappeared. The lawyer looked around, slowly he walked out of his office to the living room.

Knock knock knock, he heard a knock on the door and gripped his gun tightly. Slowly he walked towards the door.

He turned the key and this time it turned, he slightly opened the door and looked out. There he saw somebody he knew very well.

" Nancy, what are doing here?" He asked her suspiciously. His tone made the woman raise her eyebrow.

" Are you feeling alright Jonathan? You weren’t answering your phone then I heard you were in a car accident, I came to check up on you."

Jonathan opened the door and let her in, she saw the gun on his hand and grew more worried.

She stopped close to the door and didn’t approach him. " Jonathan? Why do you have a gun?"

Jonathan looked at her then at the gun, " I’m sorry I’m sorry, I’m going through a lot lately."

He placed the gun on the table, Nancy finally approached and hugged him from behind. He calmed down.

" I know what you did Jonathan." He yanked her off and jumped away. Nancy looked at him with suprise.

" What did you say?" He asked but that just made her more confused.

" I said I’m worried about you Jonathan, if you need to talk about anything at all, I’m here, you can talk to me."

Jonathan nodded, " Yeah I’m sorry, I thought you said something else, I’m okay, you don’t have to worry yourself."

They hugged and Jonathan felt some of his stress dissipating into thin air. Before long they were kissing.

Not long after they were already in bed getting intimate. For a moment Jonathan completely forgot about his nightmare.

After they were done, they went to sleep next to each other. Jonathan was deep in his sleep when he felt cold.

As if he was sleeping under an air-con, he tried to yank the blanket to cover himself but grabbed nothing.

He opened his eyes and froze, Jonathan was no longer in his room. He looked around and didn’t recognise the place at first.
