Daily Evolution from Mastering Tai Chi
Chapter 410 - 301: The Elders’ Shock
Wang Ye flipped through the video, trying to find a reliable tutorial for training in the Bone Shrinking Skill. If he could really learn the Bone Shrinking Skill through the system, he would be able to change his size at will.
For example, a man who is 1.7 meters tall could shrink down to a minimum of 1.3 meters and expand up to a maximum of 1.9 meters after training in the Bone Shrinking Skill. Moreover, his joints would become incredibly flexible, allowing his arms to rotate several times and his waist to completely fold. His entire body would be as flexible as noodles, even able to squeeze through a pipe as narrow as a thigh.
If Wang Ye pushed his Bone Shrinking Skill Level to the Extraordinary Level, he might be able to compress to 1.6 meters at the smallest and expand to 2.5 meters at the largest.
Of course, this is just speculation; the real effectiveness needs to be tested through practice after training.
Wang Ye hailed a taxi, browsing videos while riding.
About ten minutes later, he found a tutorial that seemed somewhat reliable.
But by then, the taxi had already arrived at the community where his parents lived.
Wang Ye paid the fare and got out of the car,
and what greeted him was the familiar old community. Many walls were cracked or discolored, some even covered with creeping plants.
This community was built in the 1980s, and after over forty years, it had become dilapidated with some safety concerns.
Wang Ye touched the wall of the building where his parents lived and decided to buy them a new house during this visit. It didn’t have to be luxurious, but at least without such obvious safety risks.
He followed his memory to his parents’ floor and knocked on the door.
Knock, knock, knock.
About fifteen seconds later, his mother opened the door. She was initially stunned to see Wang Ye but soon her eyes lit up with joy,
"Xiao Ye? You’re back! How come you just showed up without calling us?"
"I bought a ticket at the last minute; I wanted to surprise you guys." Wang Ye chuckled, "Where’s Dad? Is he home?"
"Your dad? He’s on the couch watching videos. Old Wang, your son’s home, come over quickly!" his mother shouted.
"Oh, coming!" His father, watching videos, heard the call and quickly put on his slippers and ran over, "Is this Xiao Ye? I almost didn’t recognize you."
His mother laughed, "You’re not the only one; I almost didn’t recognize Xiao Ye when I opened the door. Our child really has changed a lot recently."
His father nodded, "Yes, he’s gotten a lot handsomer, filled out, and he’s got more presence."
"That’s the charm of exercise." His mother said, "Xiao Ye, you should take your dad to exercise sometime. He just likes sitting on the couch watching videos, his belly’s getting bigger by the day."
"Yeah, he should exercise; I’ll take Dad for a run tomorrow morning," Wang Ye agreed with a nod. Actually, even without exercise, Wang Ye could just transfer some attribute energy to get the equivalent of decades of regular exercise. Wang Ye had already transmitted energy to many people and naturally wouldn’t forget his parents.
As his closest people in the world,
Wang Ye must protect and treat them well.
He put on clean slippers and walked into the house.
The house still had the familiar layout, exactly as he remembered from childhood.
Since evolving to a certain degree, Wang Ye felt a strong disconnect from humans.
But upon returning home, the familiar furniture arrangement and his parents’ familiar dialect stirred past memories, making him realize that he still possessed human thoughts. As long as his memories existed, he would always be human.
Suddenly, Wang Ye’s state of mind seemed to become clearer.
Many things he couldn’t understand before became clear at this moment.
"There’s still some fish left here, let me make you some braised fish," his mother said, taking a fish out of the freezer and preparing to cook but suddenly remembered something and asked Wang Ye, "By the way, you don’t have to avoid any foods since you’re exercising, right? I heard athletes can’t eat heavy oil and salt."
"No worries, I’m not on a diet," Wang Ye shook his head. He was far from being on a diet; even if he were to chew on bones or tree bark, his strong stomach could extract nutrients. But it would only accumulate impurities in his body, which is why he usually doesn’t like eating. However, since he rarely visits home, having a meal doesn’t affect much.
While his mother cooked braised fish in the kitchen,
Wang Ye and his father chatted on the couch.
"Dad, did you watch the live stream of my challenges recently?"
"Watched, of course we did," his father confirmed, "but it made us somewhat anxious; those challenges were too dangerous, giving us nearly a heart attack. Yet we couldn’t stop watching, fearing we might miss your news."
"You shouldn’t worry too much; the safety of these challenges is quite high. There are safety ropes throughout, and many emergency personnel are nearby. I won’t get injured easily," Wang Ye reassured.
His father looked worried and advised, "Xiao Ye, I think you should try to avoid those high-risk challenges in the future. Walking by the river often, there will eventually be wet shoes. No matter how good your skills are, there can always be mistakes. You’re not short of money now, so there’s no need to push yourself so hard."
"It’s not about the money; I just enjoy the challenges. Besides, I’m pretty confident in my abilities; I wouldn’t go for a challenge unless I’m completely sure of my success," Wang Ye said.
