Chapter 2450: Fighting Owen
"Really? Even though I never asked you to show me that treasure and you showed it on your own accord? How unreasonable." Yuan said with a slight frown.
"You asked for evidence, didn’t you?"
"I guess so, but you could’ve decided not to show me. Yet, you did. Do you really want to kill me so badly? Besides our initial encounter, I don’t believe I have done anything to offend you."
Owen tightly clenched his fists and trembled, his eyes burning with fury as he glared at Yuan.
"Did nothing to offend me...?" Owen muttered in a suppressed voice.
After a brief pause, he exploded in fury.
"Because of you, the reputation I’ve built over billions of years was dragged through the mud! I became a complete laughingstock! Even if no one dared say it to my face... I know they were all laughing behind my back!"
"Their mocking gazes... their looks of disdain..." he growled, his voice trembling with rage. "They’ve haunted me ever since!"
"Is that why you killed everyone in the City of Blood and pinned the blame on Dena?" Yuan suddenly said, catching Owen off guard.
"You..."
Owen stared at him in disbelief, then his expression twisted further as realization dawned. Yuan had been playing with him this entire time.
"That’s right..." Owen muttered.
"That’s right! I was the one who killed everyone in the City of Blood! It’s their punishment for mocking me!" He burst out laughing like a manic.
"I doubt you simply killed them. From what I heard, everyone in the city vanished, as if they never existed in the first place. What did you do to them?" Yuan inquired.
"Since you’re about to die anyway, I might as well tell you," he said coldly. "Besides... I’ve wanted to get this off my chest for a long time."
Owen retrieved a crimson scroll from his Spatial Ring and held it up for Yuan to see.
"This is the Supreme Immolation Array—an ancient formation capable of converting life itself into power on a massive scale," he revealed. "Every sacrifice made within it becomes fuel for my own strength!"
Yuan narrowed his eyes and asked, "What about Supreme Ruler Exosso?"
"Oh? You also know about that?" Owen said in a surprised tone. "You’ve been busy."
He continued with a cold smirk, "The same goes for Exosso and his men. I converted all of them into my strength."
"A formation that can sacrifice a Supreme Ruler without him being aware until it was too late? That’s quite scary," Yuan remarked.
Owen shook his head.
"To be frank with you, if it weren’t for this treasure, it would have been impossible to kill Exosso since he would have noticed it before the formation could be activated."
"And why did you kill them? Did they also mock you?"
"No, I just wanted to acquire their power."
"..."
Yuan released a deep sigh before saying, "Did you also acquire that scroll from the Demon God?"
"No, I found this scroll by pure chance."
"Then how and when did the Demon God contact you?"
"..."
"I think that’s enough questions from you," Owen said as he put away the ancient scroll and the treasure.
"You’re not going to use that treasure to fight me?" Yuan asked with raised eyebrows.
"Hahaha!" Owen started laughing again.
"You’re overestimating yourself too much, Tian Chenyu! I won’t need the treasure to deal with a mere ant like you!"
Since Yuan’s cultivation was only at the first level of False God, Owen regarded him as nothing more than a joke, hence why he dared to reveal so much, as he was utterly convinced he could kill Yuan without the slightest difficulty.
"With that said, I won’t be killing you so quickly. Instead, I will slowly torture you—the cause of my humiliation—to death."
"Good luck." Yuan calmly nodded.
"Supreme Blood Art."
Owen made a grasping motion toward Yuan, and a crimson sphere of blood instantly formed around him, sealing him within.
Inside the sphere, hundreds of spears materialized and pierced through Yuan’s body, but none of them would hit his vital organs.
"I guess he really doesn’t want to kill me quickly..." Yuan mumbled with a smile on his face.
A surge of Demon Sealing Aura erupted from Yuan’s body, blowing away the crimson sphere.
"Demon Sealing Aura... it’s been so long since I last saw that vile power," said Owen, a look of disgust twisting his face.
He raised an arm and pointed his palm at Yuan. The next moment, thousands of bone shards shot out of his palm like bullets.
Yuan activated the Demon Sealing Array, forming a wall in front of himself.
However, the bone shards effortlessly shattered the wall and poked many holes into Yuan’s body.
"It seems your regeneration has gotten much better than before," Owen remarked after seeing how quickly Yuan regenerated from the damage.
An excited smile tugged at his lips as he continued, "This is great, as it means I won’t have to worry about accidentally killing you too quickly." 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
"Hmm..."
Yuan closed his eyes for a moment, as if pondering something.
"I guess it should be fine as long as I don’t kill you..." he mumbled.
"What?"
Owen raised an eyebrow, but before he could say anything else, Yuan activated Demonic Awakening, entering his demon form.
"What the hell?! That appearance!" Owen cried out loud, his eyes popping out of their sockets from shock.
"This is a new trick I learned recently. Pretty neat, huh?" Yuan smiled, his aura skyrocketing into the heavens.
’What an immense aura! And to think his cultivation is only at the first level of False God! That’s ridiculous!’ Owen cried inwardly.
"Is this all you’ve got?" Yuan suddenly asked. "It’s not that impressive, considering how many lives you sacrificed."
"Shut the hell up, you rat! Because I didn’t want to accidentally kill you too quickly, I have restricted myself to only ten percent of my full strength so far!"
After saying that, Owen’s aura surged violently.
