Chapter 430: Bidding Farewell

Lee Zhen Ren’s residence.

Ruo Zhi was still fuming over what had happened in the mountains.

She was taken for a ride by the man dressed in a fur coat and she had spent days trying to catch him.

But the man was slippery like an eel, always using his Artifact to escape in the nick of time.

She clenched her fist and turned her attention over to Lee Qing who was sitting beside her.

"So, where are all the rogue cultivators you’ve gotten to help?" Ruo Zhi asked and shook her head.

It seemed to be over and done with making use of the rogue cultivators, with them being taken out by the Sima Family.

Lee Qing sighed and lowered her head.

The middle-aged man with long flowing black hair was the last and only one left but she didn’t place much expectation on him.

He said that he would take care of Sima Ye but it would be such an impossible task for someone like him, she thought.

"What should we do next?" Lee Qing asked, not willing to give any ideas anymore.

After so many failures, it was best to let Ruo Zhi take full responsibility for now.

Ruo Zhi frowned and tapped her fingers on the table.

"We can only wait for the elders to arrive."

After a few moments of consideration, she stopped her tapping and said.

It was the safest bet they could make.

And when the elders arrived, they would have to take the Sima Family by surprise before the Qing Feng Sect could react.

Lee Qing nodded her head in agreement and said, "I have someone to take care of when the time comes."

"Who?" Ruo Zhi asked and Lee Qing replied, "Someone who has stopped my plans a few times."

She was still angry at Lin Xuan Qi for stopping her, once when he was dispensing the charity porridge, and the second time when he stopped the rogue cultivators she sent over to his factories and Bai Sha village.

It would be a disgrace to her if she let a mortal like him get away with it.

Ruo Zhi knew how vengeful Lee Qing was and she said, "Make sure you don’t mess up our plans."

After that, Ruo Zhi stood up and waved her hand at a servant girl.

The servant girl came over and Ruo Zhi said, "Send a message to the sect to ask the elders to get here soon."

One of the elders was on the verge of ascending to the Nascent Soul Level and it might have made the other elders wait for him to be successful before they made their move.

After all, dealing with the Qing Feng Sect in the end wouldn’t be so easy.

...

Factory in the south.

Lin Xuan Qi went over to the factory first thing in the morning, to send Bai Xun on his way.

"I will try my best to make it happen." Bai Xun cupped his hands and bowed at Lin Xuan Qi.

Lin Xuan Qi nodded his head and said, "Feel free to send messengers back if you ever need help, or seek help from Chu Xu of the Chu Clan."

"Yes, Master Lin."

Lin Xuan Qi patted the back of Bai Xun and he invited Bai Xun onto the horse carriage.

Bai Xun felt honored to be able to do so and he waved at the other workers in the factory before he stepped into the horse carriage.

Even Cao seemed to have a lot of things to say to Bai Xun but he stood a distance away.

Whip.

The coachman’s whip cracked and the horse carriage began to move.

All the other workers looked on with envy at the ’promotion’ of Bai Xun and they hoped to be able to achieve the same.

When the horse carriage finally got out of their sight, Cao clapped his hands and shouted, "Alright, time to get back to work!"

The workers let out a sigh but they turned around and got back to their positions.

Carpenters and iron smiths also started their work to build the stable inside the compound of the factory.

Inside the horse carriage, Lin Xuan Qi saw that Bai Xun was up from his seat, looking around with excitement.

That made him feel more confident about his decision to let Bai Xun go and explore the opportunities in Gui Feng City.

Bai Xun gave him a smile and sat back down after a while.

"I shall miss Hong Feng City." He said as he looked out of the window, glancing at the bustling street.

"I understand." Lin Xuan Qi thought that he might get homesick and said.

"Oh, I didn’t mean it that way." Bai Xun waved his hands and said, "The men and women are... much more direct and brash than the people in Hong Feng City."

Lin Xuan Qi nodded his head and figured that it might be due to the fact that most of them worked in the mines for it to be so.

He glanced at Bai Xun and said, "Then, do stay safe and I will be interested to have a look when I have the opportunity to do so."

"Thanks, Master Lin." Bai Xun gave him a nod and the horse carriage arrived at the gate of the city.

They alighted from the horse carriage and Bai Xun bowed at Lin Xuan Qi before he passed through the gates.

"I guess that’s it then... Hope you have a successful trip." Lin Xuan Qi said and Bai Xun proceeded to head towards the soldiers guarding the gates.

He hoped that the retail shops and the delivery routes to them could be settled soon.

Then, he would be able to have another source of revenue.

After buying the sword from Huo Fei Li, it had made him feel so poor again.

And he would have a lot more to buy as the Clan got bigger and more powerful. Getting the businesses set up was a prerequisite to his eventual goal of turning the clan into a cultivation clan eventually.

Lee He Song who was by the side of Lin Xuan Qi chuckled and said, "Don’t worry, Master Lin. I’m sure this Bai Xun can take care of himself."

Lin Xuan Qi nodded his head and they headed back to the mansion for lunch.
