The Damned Demon - Chapter 14: A Breath Away From Death

“The war is finally over?! Then, what am I going to do with my life?” Caedrel, a man who had spent his entire life fighting, had no idea what to do next. Fortunately, he was offered to become a teacher in the greatest academy in the world. However, he wouldn’t be a normal teacher but a spy for his country’s Emperor! Doesn’t sound too bad, right? Well, it would have been great, that is…until he learned that his class was for the most talented(weird) students in the entire world.

Years ago, Earth was indoctrinated into the “System.”Earth was not the only place with the System, however. With the System came the other races, Invaders. The Invaders had one goal, to obtain ownership of this new habitable planet. This created a bloodbath, and for years the war raged.This didn't really have much to do with Derek. Derek was kind of a loner. Yeah, he enjoyed the occasional chat or drink with others, but he never stayed in one place too long or really got to know anybody new.Derek did happen to be rather strong. After the years of fighting monster and Invaders alone, he had become quite adept at surviving. One thing that helped keep him alive was his refusal to get involved with others. He rarely cooperated with teams.One day, Derek broke his rules and decided to lend some help, as the mission didn't seem too hard. He should have stuck to being alone.

“Hey monster, you're not ready for this blow, but I don't give a shit!!” said Lian as he drew a circle inside another circle in his mind.Then, a few seconds later, a fireball as big as a house hit a monster just over 4 meters tall...It was a waste of resources, but it was damn fun!“BOOM!!!” he said as the fireball reached the monster, covering it entirely.The excitement on his face was palpable as his clothes and hair fluttered from the power generated by the impact.[Accuracy: 97%]“Tsk, it's really hard to achieve 100% accuracy when casting spells... that just means I have to do better!”Meanwhile, the monster and the entire area around him was destroyed.
