Lore is shared piecemeal, usually only as it relates to a particular arc or character beat.— A heavy focus on mystery, both with the setting and the protagonist. The main character’s backstory isn’t shared up front, and a lot of the narrative involves learning about him a bit at a time, either from his own narration or other characters interacting with him.— A semi-soft magic system where many mages manifest unique powers tied to their own soul, or gain unique powers through eldritch pacts.— Romantic elements. These don’t crop up much until later in the story.— A variety of supernatural beings, such as elves, vampires, gargoyles, chimera, and trolls. Many are familiar, some are not, and most of the familiar ones have my own twists put on them.—Nobledark fantasy. This means that the world is often themed around tragedy and horror, but it’s not dedicated to being gritty. There are elements of high fantasy intermixed with the scarier stuff.—Episodic arcs. Each story arc usually has a specific locale and antagonist or set of antagonists, but certain overarching plots tie them together.— A long running narrative. I don’t have a specific projection of how long or how many arcs or books, but you should expect this to be equivalent to a long running serialized work.This is my first web serial! God’s Path was a mysterious game that appeared on the blue planet 20 years ago.

Only 1 million slots were opened every month.

Once a person became a player of the game, they would gain superpowers and become stronger than normal people.

Ling Yi was able to activate the Super Mutation System after becoming a player.

From consumables to divine weapons, he was able to mutate everything.

He was even able to mutate a bunch of cheat-like powers when he maxed out his potential.

When he mutated the +1 luck talent, it became a cheat-like power, Probability Reversal, where he could reverse a 10% possibility to a 90% one.

If an item only had a 0.1% chance of dropping, then it would be 99.9% for him instead.

When he mutated the True Eyes, he got the Eye of Truth, another cheat-like power that not only allowed him to see the hidden stats, but also the information of items.

Other than those two, he also had other powers like the Malevolence Manifestation where he could turn other people’s evil intentions into narration, and the Intelligence Reduction Light which reduced the intelligence of his target.

A year later, Ling Yi, who had achieved titles such as the Fastest Player to Level Up, First Maxed-level Player, and Strongest Man, was in one of his many interviews.

Growth cheats? Infinite magic power? The ability to utilize all archetypes? What’s the point if instant death ends everything with a single attack?

High school senior Yogiri Takatou was on a school field trip when he woke up to a dragon assaulting his sightseeing bus, with the only ones still on the bus being him and his female classmate, the panicking Tomochika Dannoura. Apparently the rest of his classmates had been given special powers by Sion, a woman who introduced herself as Sage, and escaped from the dragon, leaving those that hadn’t received any special powers behind as dragon bait.

And so Yogiri was thrown into a parallel universe full of danger, with no idea of what just happened. Likewise, Sion had no way of knowing just what kind of being she had summoned to her world.
