Return of the Swallow - Chapter 29: A Great Gift

June 15 of the year 2010, the third awakening happened. Several smaller worlds had returned to connect with the main world as living beings of different races started to appear and some people managed to connect with the origin and gain control of various powers: control of fire, of water, of wind, of air, and of earth... In the midst of all these confusions, towers that gave unimaginable powers began to appear in all corners of the world, where those who already had powers could upgrade and become more powerful or even those who did not have powers could receive powers through tests of the tower. And because of these towers, conflicts started to happen in all corners of the world by those wanting to monopolize these towers.

Luan Dimas was betrayed by one of the people he trusted most. However, in his final moments before being killed, he was transported back to four months before the third awakening that started the apocalypse on earth. Being a man who lived for a thousand years and had accumulated several techniques, he now had a new chance to correct some of his early mistakes. Luan decided to make the most of this new chance that the heavens had given to him.

It is the Year 2052, mining workers in Country A have accidentally dug through a bottomless pit. Bizarre-looking creatures have escaped from underground and caused a large number of civilian casualties.

The Abyssal Passage has opened!

Ten gigantic Golden Ranking Lists have also appeared in the sky. The strange phenomenon has plunged the whole world into chaos. The Golden Ranking Lists have evolved from the will of the world. Those who get ranked on the Golden Ranking Lists will receive heavenly opportunities; the higher the ranking, the greater the rewards. The first person to be on a Ranking List will get its only divine-grade reward!

From this point onwards, the fate of humanity will be all changed!

Chu Feng bounces up from the sofa, gasping for his breath as he awakens to the year 2052.

A man named Dr. Schneider was the man responsible for this feat and he did achieve his goal but like the saying goes, be careful for what you wish for because that immortality came in the form of something perverse and twisted to nature.

It came in the form of zombies.

Jason, a 21 year-old shut in, he was at the bottom of the food ladder due to his life choices, disowned and alone, he was willing to waste the left his life gaming but even with this dedication, he wasn't that great a gamer.

But fate had something in store and that was in the form of a 'virus' transmitted through the gaming headset he had on and this would change Jason's life for either for better or for worse.
