Qiang Jin Jiu - Chapter 2: Stick

Lin Rui was reborn, reborn in the year 4161, two thousand years later. In this era of highly advanced technology, where the peak of human biotechnology had collided and fused with the culture of Tianji Star, a new path for human evolution was born—’Zhi Zhuang Wudao’, capable of granting eternal life and transcendence beyond the universe. The entire society esteemed the strong, and it was considered an honor to practice Zhi Zhuang Wudao. There was even a group of ’Variant Walkers’ who stood at the pinnacle of the social pyramid, looming over the world with arrogance. At first, Lin Rui couldn’t fathom the meaning of his rebirth. He merely adapted to this era out of a sense of responsibility. It wasn’t until one day that the ’Battle Spirit Ring’, which had come into existence alongside Lin Rui, captured its first Battle Spirit. Lin Rui could let the Battle Spirit possess him for combat, and could also copy all the martial skills and abilities mastered by the Battle Spirit. The Battle Spirits he captured grew increasingly powerful— Lin Rui began to realize this era was his to own. A ’Super Abyssal’, who would overshadow the future, began his rapid development journey at the Tianji Star’s ninth base.

In less than an instant the world as we knew it was at its end. That’s right. The Apocalypse. In a single blink Zombies appeared and mutated monsters began to rampage all throughout the world. Now it was the human species turn to fight for survival and planetary dominance! On the same day that the world descends into chaos we meet Yue Zhong. Initially only hoping to get to his friends and escape to a refugee camp our protagonist sets out, inadvertently building a team along the way. After a series of fortuitous events and a few serious hunches our hero decides it’s time to do more than just survive! Yue Zhong begins to form the foundations of an enormous survival plan… before he suddenly discovers that he has only gotten over the first hurdle….

Unbeknownst to Yue Zhong and company, the world outside of China is mostly a wasteland! Country sized swathes of nuclear radiation and an extreme shortage of supplies in the world after the nuclear explosions was quickly becoming the “norm”. Mutants, Evolved animals and what’s worse, intelligent out of control dinosaurs had quickly appeared and claimed their own sections of the planet. There were several innately powerful Evolved races which appeared that were more than 10 times stronger than humans, nearly all of them possessing bodies impenetrable by normal bullets. The fabled orcs’ were another of these Evolved races, the leader of which had in fact enslaved many of the remaining human beings. Unceremoniously exposed to such a cold and heartless new world, Yue Zhong is faced with a choice: Find a deep dark hole and hope it goes back to “normal”? Or overcome all obstacles and struggle towards Evolution!!!

Cha Yuen, a remarkable cultivator in his previous existence, witnessed the ruthless machinations of the three formidable factions within the Qing-Yun Realm. These malevolent organizations, in their ceaseless pursuit of cultivation resources, had recklessly extinguished the lives of millions, turning once-thriving towns into barren wastelands within the span of a single night. Their nefarious deeds were shrouded in deception, as they would audaciously attribute the towns' downfall to pestilence and natural disasters.

With an iron grip on all cultivation resources and a monopoly over precious practice materials, these factions ruthlessly barred outsiders from embarking on their own cultivation journeys, reserving this privilege solely for their inner circles.

In response to their tyranny, Cha Yuen defiantly declared war against the oppressive triad. He stood alone on the battlefield, confronting insurmountable odds, and ultimately paid the ultimate price for his valiant efforts, perishing in vain. Yet, destiny had other plans for him. Cha Yuen's spirit was reborn within the fragile mortal vessel of a 16-year-old boy. Armed with the profound powers he had honed in his previous life, he resolved to carve a path of bloodshed and retribution, relentlessly battling his way back into the heart of the Qing-Yun Realm.

And so, a new chapter in his saga unfolds, as Cha Yuen embarks on an epic quest for justice and retribution.
