MTL - Little Cardamom - Chapter 4

The person who was locked away inside the thorn-covered tower was not a princess, but a witch who employed the powers of darkness.

A brave young hero came searching for the tower in order to kill the witch.

– Light would force the darkness to recede, and grant it eternal rest

The witch wished.

That things would end with, ‘and the hero lived happily ever after killing the witch,’ like in the fairy tales.

And so, she had devised everything to happen in accordance to her wishes.

But the boy, who had grown up in but no time at all, would make the unfamiliar face of man’s from time to time.

“You want me to kill you? ……Do you really think I’ll let you go?”

Reality was very different from the fairy tales.

“The people don’t know of the precious treasure locked away in the tower.

I won’t let anyone else have this god given treasure, this crown of god surrounded by thorns that no one else could recognize.”

The hero gave the witch a slow and deep kiss.

“I am the true victor, and no one else.”

This thought had grown deep in William’s mind!

The top-tier professional player Lis woke up to find himself having crossed into the “Divine Revelation” game, becoming a Viscount enamored with magic. Knowing that he would soon face a continent engulfed in war smoke, grand otherworld expeditions, the mysterious decay of the World Tree, and the constant threat of Abyss Demon invasions... Lis admitted he was a bit panicked. ...... Fortunately, the game system was still in place, and he still possessed the “All-Purpose” Talent. With the memories of his past life, he switched his class to Arcanist, analyzed the Element Model, reshaped the world’s rules, and step by step ascended to that supreme throne. ...... Players complained about him, “This boss is too perverted, he can even grow stronger, we protest!” Elves worshiped him, “Lord Lis is the strongest Divine Favored, he has brought peace to the world.” Mages praised him, “He is the pioneer of magic, as well as the Guardian. His revered name is Lis Kane, He is the god of the arcane.”

It was just like any other day, or so I thought at least. The birds were chirping up on trees, clouds were rolling by the bright blue sky and Elves were dumpster diving in the alleyway.

Okay, one of those three didn’t sound right...

I had a boring life once. Recently though, it has become less boring... to put it one way.

Finding a random Elf in the dumpster? Heh, must be a Monday.

A normal person would have walked by. A normal person would have ignored it.

I must be a pretty weird guy, then.

Now I have this Elf swearing her allegiance to me. What’s next, vampires?
