Three Days of Happiness is a novel by Sugaru Miaki, also known as Fafoo. It’s a rewritten version of the story originally posted to 2ch.

The premise of the story revolves around a shop where one can sell away the remaining years of their life, and the consequences of doing so.

“I Say A Little Prayer” is a short related story which was posted along with the novel’s release. It spoils some things about the main story, but nothing major.

When the world became a landscape for a game, humans immediately became dolls who no longer moved nor breathed, frozen like items on display in a shelf.

In the beginning, Bai Youwei thought this was an alien prank. Nobody knew why the humans suddenly became dolls. That was until they were all gathered together and sucked into a bright fog before being greeted by a mechanical voice,

“Ding! Welcome to the Game of Dolls! The rules are as follows:

1. Refusing to play the game will result in dollification!

2. Failure to beat the game will result in dollification!

3. Beating the game to win a doll!”

Bai Youwei walks into the embrace of Shen Mo trembling. “I’m scared, I’m just a weak little girl…”

Shen Mo takes her hand, places it on his abs and says, “Now you don’t have to be scared anymore!”

The game systems starts ringing in the background, “Alert! Alert! Please respect the game and focus! No dating inside the game!”

This is a story of how an intelligent and calm young lady works with a boy with nothing but a hot bod to beat the impossible Game of Dolls!

She went from being Scarlet the useless to Scarlet the amazing and her husband suddenly came calling desperate for her to accept his love.

She said, “Talk to your son first, he is the one seeking a father.”

But his son said, “You want to be my daddy, join the line of suitors over there and fill in your information.”

Excerpt:

“So the prodigal husband returns after all this time and here I thought you were dead.” she said sarcastically.

“Watch your tongue Scarlet, I am still your husband.”

Scarlet laughed and crossed her arms, “So you are aware that you are a husband, how should I react now that you have chosen to embrace the title you so easily wanted to discard a few months ago. Should I clap my hands and then take my clothes off and beg you to ravish me?” she rolled her eyes at him and scoffed.

She watched her husband slowly walk toward her with a focused furious look in his eyes and she wondered if she had pushed him too far.

“You dared to send me divorce papers, Scarlet, have you lost your damn mind?”

'No,' she thought, 'On the contrary, you have lost yours.'
