“Sir, which one do you really want to buy?” the female receptionist asked weakly.

Chen Qiyue pointed at one of the Phantom Beast eggs. “I’ll take it!”

“Okay, I’ll take it down for you.”

“Wait! I’ll take this one!”

Chen Qiyue pointed to another egg.

“Okay, do you still want to change it?”

“Wait!”

The female receptionist was speechless.

Half an hour later

Chen Qiyue happily walked away holding the black, unattractive egg with a few blue spots in his arms.

The female receptionist suddenly turned pale, her legs went weak, and she fell to the ground, crying.

“He was such a bad person. He deliberately pointed out all these Phantom Beast eggs.”

Chen Qiyue spread his hands. “Well, I had to make better use of my cheats.”

“Ahem, I’m a decent person!”

Elijah is dying.Afflicted with terminal cancer, his days are limited. But all is not lost, and through the System, he gains the Druid archetype that may be enough to allow him to survive a hostile environment filled with powerful monsters as well as more mundane threats like starvation and the elements. Meanwhile, his sister, Alyssa, must survive the collapse of civilization as she knows it while trying to keep her family safe. Follow them as they try to navigate an apocalyptic world full of game-like stats, classes, and threats aplenty. Current Release Schedule is one chapter a day (7 days a week) at 11AM CST. When one very anticipated VRMMORPG was about to be launched, and Jake was one of the first players to have a chance to access it, he had a weird dream of himself fighting massive beasts and then seeing a world being destroyed.

Without knowing any better, Jake assumes that it was just a weird dream, but then he begins to have those weird dreams again and again until they become even more vivid, and much to his surprise, whenever the dream changes, he obtains a new power inside the game.

It doesn't take long for Jake to realize that he isn't the only one who has those dreams, and soon enough, Jake realizes that the game and reality are a lot more connected than he thought.
