Chapter 1045: Blood Demon Art and Resurreccion - Kid’s Fate!

The next day,

Black looked on as Tina hovered in the basement of Tohsaka Mansion, hundreds of spell circles surrounding her.

The girl with that size and age complexion had returned to her small form.

Still, even now, her skin kept blurring, taking on a whitish appearance, a tiny hole daring to appear on her forehead as the dorsal spines on her back stirred. With that, an ethereal boundary kept pushing out of her, threatening to unleash her Reality Marble, where she could act as the grandest and largest existence once again... freely.

Next to him, Medea’s mouth moved constantly as she reinforced the Spells that Tina kept breaking.

Rider had her eyes planted on the girl from behind the mask as well.

Behind Black, Shirou, Sakura, Rin, and Illya stood, staring at his tall back.

Meanwhile, Touko Aozaki was working with the Mage Association’s Mages, hoodwinking them, putting the blame of city-wide destruction on someone else.

The only thing that had ended up in their favor in all this was that no one had died.

That had come as a shock to Black, as it had gone contrary to his findings related to the Reality Marble.

However, with time, he had realized that it wasn’t that he was wrong, but he had overlooked a few crucial things, unlike Darkrai, who had instantly learned the crux of the situation.

Suddenly, Illya walked forward and kicked Black’s leg, a wry smile twitching on Shirou’s and the others’ lips.

"I knew you had a thing for ruining little girls’ lives," she hissed. "What did you do to her, huh?"

Black smiled. "Little girl?" he repeated. "You do know that she’s over a hundred years old, right?"

Jaws dropped.

Black looked at Medea. "You didn’t tell them?"

The Witch kept chanting the Spells, carrying a grin on her face.

Shaking his head, Black looked toward Rider. "Whatever happened to that guy who attacked Einzbern Castle?"

Rider shrugged. "I killed him, of course."

"..." Black stared at Medusa. "... Of course." 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

Quasi Cipher Pol, which prided itself on obtaining information, seemed to have erred this time.

First, this Key Fate timeline wasn’t the same timeline anymore after having a Great Holy Grail War that even some Mirror timelines might not experience.

Second, the Storyline Characters of the original Key timeline had already undergone a qualitative change, unlike Touko Aozaki, who hadn’t come into the picture until much later, with the timeline’s boundaries expanding to include the extended lore.

The Grand Puppeteer would soon rise above these Key Characters’ level, but it would take her some time.

And Quasi Cipher Pol could have never known that.

Sending a 12th Floor Contestant in any other Key timeline with a C+ Overall Grade would have promised over ninety percent chances of success, Black believed.

It was the enemy’s bad luck that he met the likes of Medea and Rider, especially the latter, who was backed by a full-bloomed Sakura with Imaginary Element.

Black looked over his shoulder. "Give me some time with Tina," he told Shirou, Rin, and Sakura. "I will catch up with you all later."

His eyes briefly matched with Sakura’s, and the girl just turned around and ran upstairs, blushing.

Shirou nodded toward Black and pulled Illya away with him.

Rin stopped as she climbed the first step. "Where’s Berserker?" she asked.

Black raised his brows. "Missing him?"

Rin scoffed. "As if..."

She ran upstairs even faster than Sakura, though.

Black shook his head, Rider disappearing from the room as well.

And, just as the Servant disappeared, two figures walked out from thin air next to Black.

"Magnificent!" Orochimaru hissed.

"Exquisite!" Mayuri nodded.

Medea ignored the two existences as Black had already introduced them to her last time.

"It’s just like Red Sun," Black told them. "The Blood Demon Art is affecting her other abilities. But the scale of it is obviously grander in her case."

After his Inheritance had undergone an Awakening, Red Sun was allowed to become a level 3 Ephemeral Demon, unlocking a Blood Demon Art of his own, surprisingly latching onto one of his greatest trump cards — the Angel Arm.

The awakening itself had only granted Red Sun the wings, which were tied to Instantaneous Teleportation.

It was his demonic nature that had changed everything else.

Red Sun had called it Blood Demon Art — Double Barrel Angel Arm!

Tina’s case differed wildly from Red Sun, though.

Kai, Orochimaru, and Mayuri had changed her Source by combining her DNA with the Xenomorph Queen and Upper Moon Four.

"Her Blood Demon Art expands her Mindscape, entrapping all within her Mystic Eyes of Enchantment," Mayuri observed.

Orochimaru nodded. "Resurreccion must be giving her the ability to cast a Reality Marble," he pointed out. "Such a wide-scale Reality Marble should have cost her a fortune. It’s not like she has enough Mana, anyway. It must be the reality-bending nature of her Resurreccion that is letting bypass that limit somewhat."

"Reality-bending..." Mayuri’s eyes held a glint. "Hundreds of thousands should have died..."

"Darkrai said that Tina’s Reality Marble lacks foundation," Black remembered. "It can turn false into real, deluding the perception. However, I think she can only turn some false into reality, no matter what happens in the Reality Marble where she isn’t focusing. Fortunately, she was already out before she had cast the Reality Marble involuntarily."

"You being an exception?" Orochimaru asked.

"Hmm..." Black’s eyes narrowed. "That must be a subconscious reaction of her mindscape towards me."

"Subconscious? Oh..." Mayuri hummed in understanding. "It’s her resentment, apprehension, dread, and respect toward you, right?"

Black nodded.

"Anyway," he said. "We need to carry out extensive tests on her... before she unleashes a true apocalypse on everyone."

...

Kid, the 12th Floor Contestant, with Kid Muscle’s Blessing, opened his eyes.

A buzz entered his ears as if millions of insects were crawling in his surroundings.

"Ah... you woke up..."

Agent 9 tilted his head groggily and looked up.

There, in the distance, a man was standing, wearing a black suit and pants, and... holding a video camera on his shoulder.

As the man panned the camera toward him, in the lens’ reflection, Kid saw swarms of insects and worms going in and out of his mutilated body.

"Keke..." the Evil Betty Shaw cackled. "Don’t worry... I... won’t let you die."
