Building The Perfect Harem With My Heavenly Desire System
Chapter 122: How To Defeat An Undying Being
Chapter 122
With Kim completely immobilized for now, Alex finally shifted his full, undivided attention back toward Charles.
The English man was still momentarily stunned. He kept staring at Kim Joon Seok’s frozen hand with disbelief.
From his facial expression alone it was clear that someone like him hadn’t exactly expected Alex to attack his partner in front of him. What disrespect!
Capitalizing on that brief moment of distraction, Alex decided to make a move. He smiled coldly and muttered under his breath, while preparing to make his move.
"Let’s see whether you really are undying."
Immediately the words left his lips, Alex dashed forward at an incredible speed. At the same time, black frost gathered around his right hand.
Over the past few days of consistent training, Alex had spent a surprising amount of time experimenting with Deathfrost Bloom. Through constant practice, he had gradually learned how to compress the shards into longer and sharper form.
A moment later, a black ice nearly the size of a dagger formed in his palm. To the people around him, it looked like Alex had turned into a blur. Charles’ eyes widened. It was too fast!
Just before he could react, a black streak flashed past him. Before Alex finally appeared several meters behind him with blood dripping from the edge of the Deathfrost Bloom shard.
Silence immediately filled the alley for a second or two, before Charles finally blinked.
"What the...!"
Then a thin red line appeared across his neck, causing his expression to change. The very next second his head began to tilt and was almost about to roll off his shoulders and smash onto the ground.
But just about as the severed head was about to tilt further, Charles hand suddenly shot out and caught it.
".... Seriously?" Charles muttered.
Then he held it in place firmly against his neck. The whole thing looked unnatural and deeply disturbing. Everyone began to watch without blinking, as the flesh around that area began to wriggle together. Within seconds his neck was completely restored back to its previous state.
Charles casually twisted his neck, causing a series of loud cracking sounds to ring out, before he stopped and sighed lazily.
"Why do guys like you always love sneak attacks?" He rolled his shoulders. "Well, I suppose it isn’t your fault. If I knew someone was basically unkillable, I too would try to cut off his head."
Then he grinned.
"But now, I suppose it’s my turn."
After saying that, Charles moved toward Alex’s direction, throwing a heavy punch brimming with almost all of his power. He was eager to test the limits of just how strong this troublesome brat really was.
But the moment their fist clashed, any illusion of grandeur Charles had was thoroughly shattered. His entire arm turned into a grotesque pile of meat and shattered bone, before he circulated his primordial essence and healed the shattered arm.
His expression turned serious and he quickly brought out his prized combat dagger that had tasted the blood of many to quickly deal with Alex. Just as he swung a slash toward Alex’s neck, Alex dodged it easily without even needing to activate eyes of Chronos.
The man was just too slow in his eyes.
Before Charles could recover for another attack, Alex’s fist smashed directly into his shoulder, causing blood and bone to scatter across the alley.
Charles flew backward for at least twenty meters. Yet before his damn body even landed, the flesh had already begun regenerating.
The missing shoulder rapidly reformed. And after Charles landed heavily, he immediately got back up and charged again.
Alex frowned with annoyance. The gap between them was just too large, with Charles being only an Early Realm Awakened while he was an official C Rank expert that was equal to Vanguard Realm.
And that was not even all, because he was basically an anomaly with a physical strength and speed that far eclipsed that of a normal vanguard Realm expert.
So the difference was overwhelming. It was just the bastard’s annoying healing factor that was helping him, if not he would have ended this fight in a heartbeat.
Charles lunged forward again and executed several series of profound slashes. Alex just dodged everything while suppressing a yawn that was threatening to come out of his mouth.
At a point he grew tired of watching the knife work and grabbed his arm directly.
CRACK!
The entire limb shattered into pieces, but Charles didn’t give up. He merely grunted and punched with his other arm. Alex responded with a straight punch that caused half of Charles’s chest to cave in.
The English man staggered backward before regenerating back to normal with an annoying grin on his face, that almost made Alex want to wipe it off.
In less than a minute or so, Charles couldn’t count how many times his body had healed from fatal injuries that would normally kill a person. As the seconds passed, his face grew uglier by the second.
Fighting this man was too annoying. The brat was treating him like a punching bag!
If this keeps on going his primordial essence was going to run out and he would become vulnerable. Besides, he also had a very important appointment with a pretty Korean chick in a bar soon.
Charles decided to abandon his tactical combat dagger and jumped four meters backward.
Mid air he pulled out a gun from his waist and immediately unleashed a rapid, frantic barrage of tricky shots, designed to catch Alex from multiple unpredictable angles.
Unfortunately for him Alex had just the perfect ability to counter them. Alex immediately activated the Eyes Of Chronos, causing his eyes to once more turn a light shade of purple with faint distinct clock-like design.
immediately he saw several seconds into the future and casually dodged every single bullet with ease by either tilting his shoulders or leaning his head to the side.
Charles’ expression changed and he fired more tricky shots and reloaded whenever the bullet finished. Alex just continued walking forward with a relaxed face while avoiding the bullets.
It was a good thing that 7.5 seconds of seeing into the future showed him all the bullet’s path, so when dodging he would deactivate and activate it back.
As he continued to advance through the gunfire, a small smile began to gradually appear on his face. Because he suddenly thought of something.
All Awakened technically use the primordial essence stored directly within their internal core to manifest and fuel their supernatural abilities.
More importantly, he remembered where the core of an Awakened was situated. It was deep within the lower abdomen of an Awakened, a fact he had learnt when Doris had ruthlessly defeated the guy with the phasing ability.
So since the core was like the power source that generated primordial essence, meaning without it, all Awakeneds would turn into nothing more than a normal human. Then the best way to kill an undying being was to take away his power
Seeing that his tricky shots were failing to even graze his target, the English man fired several more rapid shots at Alex’s face, attempting to create a wider distance to flee this crazy place.
But Alex just simply dodged all the incoming bullets while continuously moving forward with an unhurried pace. Honestly, if he were in front of the cute baby faced girl he would have kissed her.
With her ability dodging bullets was just too easy. There was no need to even stress himself about running or stuff like that.
Looking at the panicking man who was desperately creating space between them, he sighed and suddenly accelerated forward like an arrow released from a bow. It was time to end this before what happened to the Chinese man suddenly repeats itself.
Charles didn’t know why but the exact moment he saw a fast blur approaching him, his alarm bells screamed danger! Before the English man could even scream or at least turn away, Alex suddenly punched out.
SPURT!
Alex’s entire arm drove straight through Charles’s lower abdomen causing blood to fly out, and at the same time, his entire arm burst out from behind Charles’s back with a beautiful glowing crystal core, pulsating with pure energy, in his palm.
"No... No...!"
Alex calmly pulled his arm back and deactivated the Eyes Of Chronos, because of the minor headache forming in his head. Then he rubbed his temple with a sigh before examining the crystal core in his hand.
It was clear, beautiful and at the same time he could feel the raw energy radiating from the small crystal core
"So this is what an Awakened core looks like? I must say it certainly looks beautiful." He muttered under his breath.
He stared at the core one last time and casually tossed it into the air before catching it back, and glanced at the English man who was looking at him with a horrified gaze.
"Give me my core you bastard... If-if not I’ll have my friends who are much stronger than me, kill you!!" The man roared in hysteria.
Alex shook his head slowly, and tightened his fingers, crushing the core right in front of the man’s face. A loud noise like that of a miniature bomb resounded as the core shattered into countless sparkling fragments that dissolved into the night air.
Charles froze and widened his eyes with shock, not quite believing what had just happened. Then he spat out a thick mouthful of blood.
After that he glanced down at the fist size hole where his guts were beginning to show, still thinking that maybe just maybe the familiar wiggling sensation of his flesh stitching back together will begin, but nothing happened.
The wound remained wide open, bleeding profusely, and entirely refusing to heal. His face became pale with fear.
His amazing regeneration was gone! His ability was gone! Everything was gone!
In a fit of hysteria, Charles raised his gun and screamed loudly as he pulled the trigger repeatedly.
CLICK! CLICK! CLICK!
But unfortunately for him the magazine had already been long since exhausted during his rapid barrage of shots.
Alex moved forward calmly and then delivered a swift kick straight to the man’s knee, sending him crashing hard onto the pavement. The man known as the Undying Fiend finally found himself kneeling in a humiliating position.
For the first time in forever, he finally felt despair. Alex stood over him, looking down with his green eyes completely devoid of any emotion.
As the English man knelt there with his head low, completely lost in the dark depth of his own despair, realizing that his immortality was gone forever, Alex finally spoke.
"I can heal you."
