Chapter 374: 11th Floor

"Hey Aurora, why can’t I fight the boss? Master is having all the fun," Vexar asked, feeling a little disappointed by all the plans Aurora had come up with.

"Vexar, can’t you follow something for once? You know what we’re trying to achieve here, don’t you?" Aurora asked, lifting one of her eyebrows.

Before entering the dungeon she had explicitly told everyone to follow this simple rule.

No matter who found the boss, the master would be the one to kill.

"I know... but." Vexar was about to say something, but she cut him off.

"No buts. And what are you talking about, having fun? Do the fight in front of you look anything like fun," Aurora said, pointing toward the battle between Dhruv and the boss.

Despite not wanting to admit it, Vexar knew the battle between his master and the boss wasn’t fun at all. Forget about being fun—it was on the verge of becoming boring.

Dhruv was doing nothing but dodging the monster’s attacks. He was using every ounce of his mental power to avoid accidentally killing the boss.

This was done so the group could record every spell, skill, or pattern the monster used. They had gone as far as letting the monster heal completely multiple times.

All of this for a single purpose: to let others kill the boss when it respawned. Although the group wasn’t strong enough to take on a unique Tier IV boss head-on, knowing its attack patterns would certainly come in handy.

[How much longer do you think I need to wait, Aurora?] Getting bored fighting all the monsters, Dhruv couldn’t help but ask Aurora.

[We’ve almost recorded every pattern of the monster. Another five minutes to make sure and then you can kill it, Master.] Within seconds, a reply came from her.

[Okay...] Yawning he nodded his head.

’Five more minutes... let’s endure a bit longer,’ Dhruv thought as he continued dodging the attacks.

The monster on the tenth floor was almost the same as the one he had encountered on the fifth floor. The minor changes were that it could move freely and had an additional attack.

"Don’t you learn already? That won’t work on me..." Dhruv whispered, not even bothering to protect himself from the spores the monster had just released.

When the boss used this attack for the first time, he accidentally inhaled some of it. From there moment, Dhruv had an idea of what this attack could do.

After fighting numerous plant-based monsters, one thing he had come to understand was that they really loved transforming others into slaves.

Almost eighty percent of the plant-based monsters he had fought had some sort of mind control attack.

’Well, it’s to be expected... they need someone to do their bidding,’ he thought as he continued to dodge the monster’s attacks.

[Master, you can kill it now...] Soon, the five-minute mark ended, and it was time to clear this floor as well.

"See you soon..." Dhruv whispered, knowing the monster would respawn again.

Charging up his attack, he couldn’t help but feel a little bad for toying with the monster for so long. Smiling, he opened his mouth...

"Don’t hold anything against me... it was all for the greater good." Saying these words he aimed his staff at the monster, and fired the fire spell.

Woosh!

A concentrated blue fireball shot toward the boss, burning everything around its core.

The monster activated its regenerative sap, but it was no use. The fire continued to spread, and soon enough, the 3-meter-tall monster was reduced to nothing but ashes.

"Well done, Master. We collected everything we needed about the monster. From this, we can let our members roam floors 1 to 10 freely." Landing near Dhruv, Aurora calmly reported everything.

"Good... good..." Placing the core back in his inventory, Dhruv looked at the [Stone To The Next Floor] and asked, "Where are the others?"

"Vexar and I were already here. I informed the others... they should be near us."

"What do you suggest our next course of action should be?" Dhruv asked, recalling her plan.

"We will continue to proceed to the next floor until they bite our bait. After that, we can start everything." Aurora smiled, a sinister expression forming on her face.

"Will they fall for this?" No matter how perfect it seemed, Dhruv was a bit skeptical about the plan.

"Don’t worry, Master. If my judgment is correct... not only will they fall for it, but they’ll do it sooner rather than later." Smiling, she nodded her head.

"Perfect."

It didn’t take long before, following Aurora’s mark, the others quickly arrived near Dhruv.

Looking at them, he opened his mouth, "According to Aurora, the eleventh floor will be different from the previous floors, so we don’t know what to expect. I want every one of you to be ready for anything and everything..."

Pausing, he added, "Do you understand?"

"Yes, Master."

Everyone agreed without a hint of hesitation.

"Okay, then come closer..." Dhruv instructed as everyone followed his command.

Soon, all seven of them had placed their hands together, forming a group. This was done to ensure that after entering the next floor, everyone would spawn together.

After seeing that amateur group fighting, Dhruv knew there must be a way for them to do the same. After some digging, he discovered this method. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚

The method was as simple as it could be: to spawn together, you just had to be in contact with any part of the body.

"I’m activating it..." Whispering these words, Dhruv sent a sliver of his mana into the stone.

The stone shone and disappeared, and along with it, all seven of them vanished.

After losing consciousness for a second, Dhruv regained his senses. But the moment he became conscious again, he felt something was wrong.

He wasn’t feeling anything solid beneath his feet.

’..What?’ Confused, he opened his eyes and witnessed something that defied all expectations.

"Shit..." His pupils constricted as he couldn’t believe what he was seeing. He had spawned in the middle of nowhere. There was nothing around him...

...except a void.

A void in which he was falling.
