Black Clover: The Son of Fire Dragon Igneel
Chapter 524: SFDI -
Although the Straw Hat Pirates, the God’s Squad, and the guerrilla army had erupted into conflict, the battle hadn’t lasted for very long.
The Shandian guerrilla army had only launched a probing attack, and they had retreated after only having had a bit of contact with the God’s Enforcers, and the God’s Enforcers’ greatest losses had been Shura, who had been in charge of the Ball Trial, who had been defeated by Luffy, and Shura, who had been blasted away by Drake.
Luffy and the others had also joined up with Nami and the others, who had been exploring ahead of them, and they had all returned to the altar, meeting Drake and Gan Fall.
The Straw Hat Pirates had run into Gan Fall by chance when they had just arrived in the White Sea, and the whistle that Chopper had blown had been left behind by Gan Fall.
And Nami had also reached the conclusion that Upper Yard had been a part of Jaya Island through preliminary surveying, and the legendary golden city might have been here.
Having run into friends while adventuring in a legendary place, they naturally had to hold a banquet for pirates.
So without caring at all that this was still Enel’s territory, the group had set up a bonfire, beginning to celebrate.
Drake hadn’t joined in on the Straw Hat Pirates’ uninhibited dancing, and had instead come before the Going Merry.
Compared to the last time that he had seen it, the soul fluctuations that had been transmitted from the Going Merry had been even clearer.
Drake had stroked the Going Merry’s hull, saying, "It must be hard for you to sail with these rowdy guys!"
Even if he hadn’t been a professional shipwright, Drake could have sensed that this ship had already been scarred all over.
But strangely enough, the soul fluctuations that had been transmitted from the ship hadn’t had any sadness, and had instead transmitted a feeling of happiness.
This child hadn’t had any negative emotions because of its fate that would end eventually, and had instead felt happy about the journey that would end at any time.
If there had been any dissatisfaction, it would have just been the regret of not being able to carry the Straw Hat Pirates to the very end.
This was already beyond what will or resolve could have described, and in Drake’s eyes, the soul that had been born from the ship had been somewhat dazzlingly brilliant.
Sighing, Drake had had a pink crystal appear in his hand, raising his hand, pressing it onto the ship’s hull.
A ripple had appeared at the location where the crystal had contacted the ship’s hull, and the crystal had then sunk into the ripple directly.
The Going Merry had faintly lit up for an instant, and it had then been as if nothing had happened.
The developing ability [Mystery] that Drake had possessed had been the ability to cause the eighteen miracles of the gods, including elemental transformation, concept granting, resurrection, immortality, etc.
And what could have been created after [Mystery] had reached its limit had been the legendary Philosopher’s Stone.
Drake hadn’t known what level Fers’s [Mystery] had been when he had created the Philosopher’s Stone, but his current level of mystery had definitely not been enough to create that thing that even the gods had regarded as taboo.
But Drake had also been curious to what extent he could have done it, so he had secretly tried to create the Philosopher’s Stone before.
The result had been that the best quality product had only been able to replenish life and nurture souls, and it hadn’t had even one tenth of the legendary Philosopher’s Stone’s heaven-defying abilities.
But even a low-quality Philosopher’s Stone like this could have protected the Going Merry’s newborn soul, preventing it from heading towards destruction because of the ship’s hull having been damaged.
It would have been too much of a pity for such a brilliant soul to have disappeared just like this! If the Going Merry hadn’t been a member of the Straw Hat Pirates, having been born because of the bonds between them, Drake would have really wanted to abduct it directly.
But he should do good deeds, not asking about the future, and Drake hadn’t had any regrets, turning around, about to leave.
Just as Drake had turned around, a child’s voice of "thank you" had rung out by his ear.
Drake hadn’t turned around to look again, and had just waved his hand, returning to the banquet with light steps.
Even though they had known that there might have been a difficult battle the next day, everyone had still partied wildly for one night. But because of the strong physiques of the humans in the pirate world, everyone had been full of energy, preparing to take action when the sun had risen the next day.
Luffy, Zoro, and Chopper had prepared to adventure, and Robin had followed along as well because she had been very interested in the Shandora historical ruins.
Usopp and Sanji had stayed behind to be in charge of guarding the Going Merry, and what had been surprising had been that Nami had entrusted the task of finding gold to Luffy, and hadn’t gone along.
She had probably decided to wait until Luffy had resolved everything before going out after having heard about what kind of guy Enel, who had been ruling Skypiea right now, had been from Gan Fall. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
The Straw Hat Pirates’ weak trio had truly been even more cowardly than the last as long as their bottom lines hadn’t been touched. But they had been even more fierce than the last if it had been a matter of their comrades, even if it had been to fight the Four Emperors.
Drake and Stella naturally wouldn’t have acted together with them, and the two had headed straight for that golden bell.
The reason why Drake had still been willing to get along with the Shandians on friendly terms had been that they hadn’t given up on battling for four hundred years, and had only been doing it to fulfill the promise of the great warrior Kalgara to light the fires of Shandora for his friend.
And what had been called the fires of Shandora had referred to the sound of a giant golden bell.
Even though it hadn’t rung for four hundred years, the sound of the bell had still existed in the mouths of a lot of people.
In the legends of Shandora, no matter how far they had gotten lost, the sound of the bell could guide them, like a fire in the mist.
The great warrior Kalgara’s gratitude towards his friend, and his guilt for misunderstanding him, as well as his feelings of looking forward to meeting again, had all existed within the sound of the bell.
The sound of the bell that had rung when they had been blasted to Skypiea four hundred years ago had been heard by the Sky People, and it had been passed down as a piece of music, but that had also been the signal for the Shandians and the Sky People to start battling.
Gan Fall had believed that Skypiea and Shandia would welcome peace when the "music" had rung out again.
Such a treasure, which had been full of meaning from any aspect, was something that no one knew where it had been right now. Of course, apart from Drake, who had known everything.
Drake and Stella had aimed at that giant vine that had been extending straight to the higher layers of clouds, flying over all the way.
Before having completely passed through the clouds, the two had seen the light that had been dyeing the clouds gold.
Passing through the last clouds, a sacred and shocking sight had entered their eyes.
A golden bell had been standing at the highest point of the vine, and even the pillars that had been dozens of meters tall on both sides had been made of gold.
The golden bell had been covered in ancient patterns and reliefs, and although some moss had grown because of the long years, it had still been shining brightly under the rays of the morning sun.
Even though Stella had once been a princess of a country, she had never seen such a giant bell that had all been made of gold, and she had been too shocked to say anything for a moment.
The two had landed on the base that had been made of gold, observing this golden bell from up close.
Drake had finally experienced what the weight of civilization had been this time, and it had been so heavy that it had made it hard for him to breathe.
Just as Drake had been thinking about how to ring this guy, a detestable voice had rung out.
"So Upper Yard had such a good thing, and I even have to thank you for helping me find it!"
Drake’s eyebrows had raised, turning his head, seeing Enel, who had been formed from a convergence of electricity.
That guy Enel had been relying on his devil fruit ability to sense electromagnetic waves to follow them, and even Drake had only noticed him when he had appeared.
And he had still had that punchable face on his face, but he had already regarded the golden bell as his own while speaking.
Drake had breathed out, saying, "I’ll give you three seconds to disappear quickly, and there are some things that you can’t covet!"
Enel had revealed a mocking smile, saying, "You don’t think that woman being able to release flames is anything impressive, right! Humans can never be a match for gods!"
Drake had shaken his head, and what he had hated the most had been these guys who had been narrow-minded!
In the next second, Drake had appeared before Enel, and his fist had hit Enel’s face directly.
The face that Enel had had that triumphant expression on had deformed in an instant, and his entire person had then flown out horizontally.
"A god who’s weak to the point of being explosive!"
While giving his sharp criticism, Drake had been thinking that ’if this golden base hadn’t been quite valuable, he would have had to carry Enel by his calves, smashing him on it a few times to make it fit the occasion’!
