[BL]The Hero and his Party Won't Let Me Go

Jealousy and amusement filled Kaiden’s face in an instant, and the demon king’s grip on Shuu became tighter.

"Honey, we lived together and slept together for more than a whole year. You even birthed my kids and are taking care of what is mine. We are all but married in the conventional sense. Does the label of a ’ceremony’ truly matter? Am I not your husband?"

Kaiden asked in a hurt voice, but Shuu could hear a fake tone when he heard one. He felt a chuckle escaping his lips as he watched Kaiden.

The demon king made a hurt gesture as he watched Shuu giggling over his dramatic actions. But that atmosphere did not last for long.

Now that Shuu’s memories had started to come back, he had even more questions. Like...

"Where are we right now? This place does not feel real, and all these people..."

It felt like something that had happened. All of Shuu’s feelings for the goddess, the general, and the army were real. Perhaps these were part of Shuu’s past before he was reborn as a human.

But none of it mattered. He had no personal attachment to it all beyond it being his current situation.

Kaiden sighed as he looked around as well. He looked just as unhappy as Shuu with this place.

"It is just a subspace created by the dungeon to trap you in here. I am going to break it now. So if you have any lingering attachment to this place, you better get rid of it right now. I am a jealous type, so do be careful of what you tell me."

Kaiden complained as he gathered his power in his hand. Shuu watched him with an amused look on his face before he reached out to touch Kaiden’s shoulder.

"Well, there is only one thing I feel attached to in this place. So I guess it’s a good thing he is coming back with me."

Kaiden let out a small laugh at Shuu’s words before he increased his power, and the world around them started to crack. It hurt Shuu’s body as well, but he knew that it was temporary pain.

He closed his eyes and allowed the sensation of pain and pleasure to wash over him. He finally felt like he was waking up from a dream.

Shuu’s vision went in and out of focus, and he felt Kaiden’s warmth disappearing from around him. When he regained consciousness, someone was clutching his hand and dragging him out of that sleep.

He looked up, only to see Kaiden’s familiar face looking down at him. The former emperor was sleeping, but he looked just as good as Shuu remembered him.

Shuu’s hands moved toward Kaiden’s face without him realizing it, but he stopped just before his fingers could touch Kaiden’s face.

There was...just something about Kaiden that always made Shuu look toward him. He wanted to be with the other man even when he had no reason to.

Kaiden’s eyes opened seconds before Shuu touched him, and that made Shuu freeze. He was not sure if he was supposed to reach for that face or not.

But Kaiden showed that he did not care. He leaned more into those hands and even nuzzled his face against Shuu’s hands a little more.

"Are you not going to touch me more? It has been some time since we last met. I missed you so much."

Kaiden whispered, and Shuu felt himself responding to those words.

The emperor was an esper, and he needed guiding. Shuu could feel it immediately with his senses as a guide. And he wanted to help Kaiden out. Everything in his body told him that he needed to show Kaiden that he was the best person for him.

So Shuu followed his instincts and grabbed Kaiden’s face before pressing their lips together. That made guiding flow inside Kaiden’s body, and he melted against Shuu.

It was a gentle kiss at first, but it did not take long for Kaiden to gain control, and he pressed his tongue inside Shuu’s mouth to map it out.

That innocent touch turned filthy within seconds, and Shuu felt Kaiden pressing for more. The elder was all but devouring Shuu, and Shuu let him.

He would have let Kaiden do anything, but then he heard the sound of the door opening and someone gasping. He broke the kiss, only to see Caelis and Rin standing at the door, watching with wide eyes.

Rin put his hands on Caelis’s face and closed his own eyes as well.

"We did not see anything-"

Caelis panicked and replied, causing Shuu to let out a chuckle as he noticed their panicked expressions. He beckoned them both to come closer, and both Rin and Caelis took a hesitant step back.

They looked at Kaiden, who had a sulky expression on his face. And Shuu felt sorry for him.

But for now, he had the kids to reassure. He held his arms open for Rin and Caelis to come to him, and the pair did not disappoint.

They snuggled against his side as much as they could, and once again, Shuu felt like he was back home.

He finally had his family with him, and he did not have to think about what he needed to do next.

They remained like this for some time, but then Rin decided to speak up and break this moment.

"Shuu, what about Survivors Guild? You signed a contract..."

That...was something Shuu had forgotten about. He had signed a contract, and he needed to abide by it.

Thankfully, it was not long, so he could make it work...

"You signed with someone else-"

"As a secretary. No one knows that I am a guide except you...and well, another esper whom I saved. Don’t look so worried. It will be fine. It’s just a three-month trial contract. I can always tell Secretary Ann I do not want to continue because I got offered a job somewhere else-"

"Or you can allow me to pay the breach fee. I don’t want you going back."
