[BL] Debut in Interstellar After Retiring as Grim Reaper
Chapter 283 - 281: Training
Chapter 281: Training
"Are Marshal and Qin An still not out yet?" Shen Zhi asked Ji Wen when she came from her room and went to the monitoring area.
Ji Wen shook his head. "I don’t even know when they will come out."
"Let’s just relax. The Marshal won’t let Qin An put in too much pressure." Qi Jian assured them. Others could only nod at his words anyway although they are quite unsure about the answer. He Li is very strict and ruthless even when training them, however he’ll probably not drive the young man badly, right?
.....
Unfortunately to their thoughts, that was what really Qin An is enduring right now. He Li seems to be another person and starts treating him like someone he wanted to hone badly without any mercy.
After finding out that he couldn’t use any Mecha, they had thought about it until He Li decided to train him personally. At first, he wanted them to go in a virtual place to immerse in a war stimulation for better training and experience but as the young man had no mental power and wouldn’t even respond to virtual data except for short times when he can be put in a virtual room like when he was just starting to familiar himself as an idol.
He lacked mental power which can bring him to an immersive stimulation and since they are in the spaceship, there’s no other place here. Helpless, they can only turn to the traditional way of practicing. He Li led him in a vacant room and told everyone not to disturb them at any time except when there was an emergency.
Initially He Li wanted to train the young man’s physical body fully but it’s clear that they don’t have enough time for that so they focus on his agility and speed instead. If Qin An can’t fight with zergs directly, then he should learn how to dodge and hide.
For the past few days travelling, the two had been inside the room all the time and just kept on holding on again and again.
"Okay. I’ll give you five minutes to rest."
Qin An just pursed his lips and didn’t say anything to object even though five minutes is really too short to rest. He directly lay down on the floor and stared blankly at the ceiling. Dripping sweats were all over his body and he’s breathing hard. He could even hear the loud beating of his heart and he felt like it wanted to get out of his chest.
He could only feel the intense exhaustion inside him which was quite different from the tiredness he felt during practice days. That time was like just his physical body burning out from moving too much whereas this training was way more difficult. He has to use every power he could exert in this body.
In the beginning it was really difficult for him. It’s not because he doesn’t know how to fight but it was his body itself. A human body is too different from his past body. A grim reaper had like an endless energy while his current body felt too fragile. It also hindered him from moving because his body couldn’t make it. Just like when he thought he could easily dodge the man’s attack, his body moved too slowly than what he expected in his mind.
He didn’t learn how to adjust what he was used to to how his body can only offer.
He raised his hand and wanted to clench it in a fist but it just felt numb that he couldn’t even exert a strength to put power. He exhales a breath and just closes his eyes tiredly.
Meanwhile, He Li was wiping his sweat on the side and his eyes fell to the young man on the floor. His eyes narrowed with an unknown emotion flash on him.
It really feels the same. This was what he could always think of every time they fought each other. He Li hadn’t fought with Qin An before this but whenever they faced off against each other, he felt an unusual familiarity that he couldn’t understand.
It’s clear that this never happened before but he could feel it deeply inside him, how familiar he is with how the young man fought. His moves, attacks, ideas— everything was like something he experienced and knew.
Yet how could it be?
That is also why he couldn’t stop himself from pulling the young man to an endless right. It was not just to hone his control but also because he’s actually started to feel irritated by these feelings. He Li is someone who hates being in the dark. It doesn’t sit well with him if there’s something that he doesn’t know, especially if it’s connected to him.
What is wrong? What is going on with him?
He Li was lost in his thoughts that he didn’t notice that five minutes ended if it weren’t for the young man calling to him.
Qin An still looks a bit exhausted but his eyes stayed firm and determined. "Let’s continue."
Again. When he met his eyes, the same expression from a blurry face just flashed in his mind and before he could even think deeply, it disappeared as if he was just hallucinating.
He frowned a bit and decided to throw it at the back of his head to focus on the training.
He picks up a sword on his side and throws it to the young man. "Let’s try this."
Qin An catches it with familiarity and his eyebrow raises a bit. "Are you sure?"
"Come on."
Thus sounds of clocking swords echoes inside the room. Both men inside the room reveal sharp temperament and even mercilessness to the person they’re with.
He Li, being a soldier with deep experience in the battlefield, has a natural killing instinct exuding on his body. He looks very sharp and menacing as he didn’t even think of going easy to the young man in front of him. The way he slash and hold the sword was as if he’s facing a real enemy he has to kill without hesitation.
Meanwhile the young man has the same stance with a bit of a different temperament. Qin An has a natural refined aura around him even with the coldness rooted deep on his bones. He moves like a leaf falling from the tree, just flawlessly following the wind as if exuding calmness and quiet. But whenever his sword touches He Li’s, it reveals sharpness that penetrates to kill without any mercy.
