Beastmaster of the Ages
Chapter 4339 - Choose Life or Death
“What?” Mushan Feng was completely stunned, having never expected that such an approach even existed.
Tianming and Zi Zhen boarded the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb, racing toward the Flameyellow Imperial Star!
“In that case, the Imperial Star will become the battlefield! Once the formation is breached...”
Thinking of this, Mushan Feng shook his head with a bitter smile and muttered, “It doesn’t actually make a difference. We’re few to begin with. If we set up one line of defense at the passage and another at the Imperial Star, the enemy would simply break through them separately. It’s better to stack all our trump cards together!”
The Flameyellow Imperial Star was essentially a highly-mobile fortress. The Eightpart Pantheons’ imperial-class worlds wouldn’t be able to do such a maneuver in time.
“The Imperial Star will block the passage and be our last stand. As long as the Imperial Star stands, the Primordial Sands won’t break.” The enemy’s attempt to use Jiang Feiling as a breakthrough point became meaningless as well.
At the thought, Mushan Feng’s doubts cleared as his fighting spirit ignited.
He and his billion young cosmic gods took up positions at the passage’s mouth, waiting for the miracle to descend!
“The emperor’s prominent characteristic is his speed, stopping chaos before it can take root,” one of Mushan Feng’s deputies said with a grin.
“Hey, say it nicely. Call it decisive and fierce,” another deputy laughed.
Whenever Tianming appeared, it was as though he ignited everyone’s fighting spirit and faith. It was that mystical.
And just as they said, they didn’t wait long. A colossal golden-black vortex appeared, unfurling like a blooming flower.
“This is the Flameyellow Divine Path of our ancestors!”
“So incredible!”
It was the first time they had seen this, and they were overwhelmed with excitement, to the point some were even moved to tears.
Those who traveled with the imperial star through the Flameyellow Divine Path, as well as the assortment of other troops, were even more shaken and exhilarated.
The blazing star burst out from that cosmic flower, dazzling an entire region of space. The chosen coordinates weren’t far from the passage’s mouth, and the star’s normal speed seemed much faster than other nova source worlds.
“With the star’s current size, it can perfectly plug the passage!”
“It’s here, pull back!” Mushan Feng hurriedly led the several tens of billions of troops on all sides to withdraw to the flanks.
The Flameyellow Imperial Star slotted into the mouth of the passage, sinking one-third of its mass into it and truly blocking the passage. With a vast, echoing rumble, the imperial star finally halted.
“We can focus the full power of the Flameyellow Guard Formation and our troops on the passage opening.” For the first time, Mushan Feng saw hope. He led the young cosmic gods back onto the imperial star, heading to the side facing the passage. The fiery clouds had already flowed into the passage that was filled with turbulent astral debris, colliding endlessly. From afar, the burning heavens looked like they had entered a true inferno!
“Good!” Even with the battlefield right before them, the citizens of the Sun felt no fear toward Tianming’s bold and decisive choice. Instead, they were thrilled.
Everyone understood that there was no retreat against the Eightpart Pantheons. No one wanted to return to the Ancestral World and live like rats again.
“Long live the Emperor!” Over ten billion cosmic gods gathered, forming ranks under the command of the five imperial-star elders, and let out a thunderous roar toward Tianming.
“The Eightpart Clowns have traveled a long way just to die here. We shall gladly accept it. With me here, this Imperial Star will forever be the graveyard of enemy armies!” After a few rousing words, Tianming rose into the sky, taking only one person with him.
He wouldn’t let the public know he would be gone for a while.
And the person he brought was none other than Granny Yin of the devas.
Tianming and Granny Yin stepped out of the Flameyellow Guard Formation. In front of them lay the turbulence of the passage.
“Let’s go!” Now taller and stronger than Granny Yin, Tianming pulled her along as they shot through the passage, pushing through the storm.
As they advanced, Tianming continuously observed the surroundings.
“This barrier really was pierced through by a single sword. Whoever wielded it was indeed formidable. It would be a problem if they struck the imperial star.”
“Emperor, the timing is too tight. This time will be extremely difficult,” Granny Yin said.
“As long as your Imperator Yin behaves, nothing is difficult,” Tianming replied.
“Ah... you think too simply. The devas have always been commanders of the Eightpart Pantheons. To have a divine race betray the Heavenly Dao is difficult beyond your imagination,” Granny Yin sighed.
Tianming glanced at her calmly. “Nothing is too difficult as your fist is tougher.” A tough enough fist could shatter all obstacles.
Granny Yin didn’t dare argue.
They emerged from the passage and reached the other side, which was under the Heavenly Dao’s judristricion. The Eightpart Pantheons’ forces had appeared yet.
“Summon your Imperator Yin. Have him descend through a Heavenly Dao projection. I’ll speak with him directly,” Tianming said.
“Yes.” Before long, a certain majestic figure once again appeared before Tianming. But in less than a hundred years, Tianming no longer needed to look up to Imperator Yin.
“You’ve become far stronger since our last talk,” Imperator Yin said in a low voice.
“Cut the small talk.” Tianming tapped his chest. Currently, he had opened up nine hell-rings, equal to Imperator Yin!
Once the gate opened, several terrifying auras made their presence known. They didn’t emerge, but their overwhelming murderous will darkened even the heavens, making Imperator Yin’s face tighten.
Tianming closed the gate of the Xi Hwa Hell. “I don’t want to waste time. The world’s changing, and this is the devas’ last chance. Choose the path of life or the path of death.”
With that, Tianming turned and shot back into the passage, disappearing without another word.
A hoarse voice sighed from within Imperator Yin’s chest, “If we stand against him, the devas will lose us forever.”
