Apocalypse Lord
Chapter 229 - 159: Black Cat 2
"Hmph, I remember at first you called me ’Sister Eleanor’ instead of the cold ’Captain’."
The tall Dragon Lady beside her crossed her arms, looking at the First Mate with a slightly complex expression: "You fickle little sister..."
Lucia playfully stuck her tongue out at her Captain.
"The deity who blesses the elves?"
Lin Lan ignored the Doragon who was pinching the Witch’s cheeks with gritted teeth and focused on the key points in Vera’s words.
"In the early Fourth Era, people called Him the ’Goddess of Wisdom’."
Vera nodded gently: "It was a deity of endless forms and omnipresence. He participated and designed the Heart of Loya’s Great Secret Ceremony, and left the elves with a Mind Matrix to resist madness."
Lucia finally escaped from the Captain’s embrace.
Though she learned of the ancient century’s secrets, the girl’s expression was still somewhat bewildered; the so-called god seemed far too distant from them.
Even the apocalyptic end Lin Lan spoke of was much closer than they were.
"Lucia, let me touch the magic light in your hand."
Lin Lan’s heart moved; he planned to use his system to examine what the magic of the god was truly about.
"Here."
Lucia stood beside the young man, raised herself on her tiptoes, and offered the light proactively.
Lin Lan tried touching the magic light in the Witch’s palm, only to find the light actively dodged his fingers, prompting Lucia to hold Lin Lan’s hand tightly, interlocking their fingers.

[Description: Why has there been another mistake here?]
In the next instant, the essence of magic roared in Lin Lan’s mind.
Time seemed to freeze.
The blonde girl’s slightly rosy cheeks were pulled away, the reality around Lin Lan gradually transformed into threads, instinctively repelling the unknown error in front of him, as the strands of hair scattered, avoiding the shape of the Foreigner.
The Foreigner felt a void beneath his feet, and his consciousness completely fell out of an already fragile reality.
Lin Lan raised his gaze and found himself floating in a strange space, chaotic and disordered, filled with countless abstract concepts...
Black cats, all types of rulers, swords, sun models, quill pens, empty boxes, beehives, books with chaotic lines drawn on them...
In this chaotic and disorderly space, he saw a long-haired lady in a complex black gown, with her furry black cat ears twitching as though she was lost in thought.
Her black strands and luxurious gown extended to the ends of the space, transforming into the Magic Long River.
Next, he only heard the lady with a blurred face gently part her red lips, emitting a voice filled with infinite wisdom and mystery:
"It’s so annoying! Why did those guys pile the hardest parts onto me!"
Lin Lan watched as she irritably scratched her head, causing great strands of the Magic Long River to fall, splashing colorful waves in the world.
"Next, let’s try adding a bit more ’logic’ to the basic rules of the new world..."
She was weaving mountains and rivers with her strands, and drawing beneath the illusory light and shadow.
"Done! ’Logic’ and ’reason’ aren’t enough anymore!"
Vivian frantically supported the crooked light and shadow, then picked up a pen, adding obscure formulas and annotations to it.
"Forget it, let’s just use ’narrative’ to fool everyone. After all, there’s not much of a clean history left."
The illusory world gradually became real.
A moment later, she stopped her pen somewhat troubled.
"The truth of this ocean is... there is no truth! This is completely a heap of errors, but why can it still run?"
A sigh echoed in the chaotic space: "Forget it, better not touch this foundational rule, let it run forward by itself."
Lin Lan’s lips twitched slightly.
"Even if I am a concept of wisdom, you can’t shove all the mess onto me..."
Vivian’s furry, pointed ears drooped, as she pouted and muttered.
Suddenly, with a snap, the sun model beside the Goddess of Wisdom cracked in half, dimming the chaotic world noticeably.
She was visibly startled, no longer murmuring complaints, and instead silently accelerated her movements.
She could not outline a complete, reliable world, only allow one error after another to gradually accumulate.
Time seemed to pass in an instant, yet felt endless.
A moment later, she habitually touched her forehead, only to find the Magic Long River around her had already dried up, leaving Vivian without strands to use.
Vivian was silent for a moment, donned a hat, and raised her gaze; the light and shadow world she had woven with all her might was completed to only a thin layer.
Crack.
This time, the moon model and sword collapsed.
The lady gritted her teeth and started to tear apart her gown, but soon the gown was consumed completely, so she pulled out her fingernails, letting magic flow from the broken fingertips.
Still not enough.
In the light and shadow, mountains collapsed, rivers dried up, she began to dig into her blood and flesh, followed by internal organs and bones.
Light burst from the collapsing wounds, amidst the chaotic space appeared more and more magic torrents, and the mysterious lady gradually transformed into a person frenzied and covered in blood.
So miserable.
Lin Lan quietly observed everything before him, as if he were a spectator foreign to this place.
Vivian’s light and shadow finally revealed a world outline that seemed passable.
"Still not enough... still not enough..."
She held the corpse of a black cat, her voice grew increasingly weary and despairing: "The new century blocked by aggregated errors (the ocean) is dead-ended, without paths prepared, the children will one day be chased by the apocalypse..."
Lin Lan sighed softly.
Vivian caught that brief sigh, lowered her head, the goddess’s gaze traversed time as she extended her hand, capturing the ’nonexistent’ Foreigner in her palm.
"You can see me?" Lin Lan’s expression was slightly surprised.
"I can’t."
Vivian shook her head, carefully sensing the fluctuations in the empty palm: "But I can perceive some wondrous knowledge not belonging to this world..."
She smiled in response: "In my omniscient kingdom, it’s quite fascinating when some knowledge I can’t comprehend appears."
Unexpected guests arrived in the kingdom, Vivian instinctively tidied her attire, her body suddenly trembled: "Am I hideous in this form now?"
"Not at all."
Lin Lan earnestly shook his head, looking at the fragmented magic torrents in front of him, word by word: "All I see is a perfect and flawless Goddess of Wisdom."
At this moment, the Foreigner’s acknowledgment seemed to transform into a rational anchor point, and the gradually collapsing form of the Goddess of Wisdom indeed stabilized.
The Goddess of Wisdom was momentarily startled, feeling the change in her form, some unknown authority was influencing this Divine Kingdom heading towards extinction.
It seemed to be... some sort of transcendent power...
In the next second, the deity’s massive body dissipated mid-air, and beside Lin Lan appeared a miniature black-skirted figure.
She touched her beautiful long hair and raised her skirt towards the Foreigner: "Sorry, for letting you witness my weaker side."
The Foreigner slightly furrowed his brow, asking: "Why do this?"
Lin Lan always had a question, why the divine spirits in this world seem to care for mankind so excessively, to the extent that those tempted by eternal life, the Holy Spirits, seem more like spoiled children.
"I am a deity pursuing correctness and perfection!"
The miniature Vivian turned her head, looking at the sky full of erroneous light and shadow answers, her tone becoming stubborn.
