Mengyu’s brows shot up. "No. If you keep this up, you’ll be undergoing Tribulation in the city. I cultivate the Merit Path; when the time comes, all casualties will be counted on my head. What, you want to ruin my Dao cultivation?"

The subconscious rushed to reply, "We won’t. I’m your past life, you’re my present life—I am you, and you are me. If I ruin your Dao cultivation, it’s the same as ruining my own. So don’t worry, we’ll fly to the deep mountains to undergo Tribulation before the Emperor forms his Core."

Hearing her subconscious say this, Mengyu finally relaxed a little. "Then why aren’t you hurrying up—"

She never would have thought there’d be a day when she’d watch her own body being manipulated to XX00 with Gu Dongxing’s body, while she herself was off to the side urging them to hurry up. No matter how you put it, the situation was mortifying—and weird.

The Emperor, seeing the Empress enter his Sea of Consciousness, immediately wrapped his arms around the Empress and relinquished control of his body. Then, the two specks of True Spirit plunged together into Gu Dongxing’s Sea of Consciousness and melted away.

Mengyu wanted to curse. At the very last moment of her past life, all she could think about was merging into Gu Dongxing’s soul, and she actually abandoned her. Just how much did she dislike her own future incarnation?

But this was not the time to complain about her past life; she had to seize control of her own body as fast as possible.

Only, her voice came out soft and sultry; it didn’t sound like scolding at all, more like she was acting spoiled.

Gu Dongxing had no choice but to quickly scatter his seeds and withdraw immediately. He pulled on his Magic Robe, then grabbed her clothes, wanting to help Mengyu dress. Mengyu, too busy to be shy, hurriedly took her clothes and put them on herself.

Gu Dongxing ignored the mess in the room, hurriedly moved the two of them out of the Imperial Palace, put away the Space House, swiftly tossed out the Flying Cloud, and dragged Mengyu up into the sky.

Their speed was almost on par with light.

Because they were in such a rush to leave the city, their commotion still ended up alarming Hai Xue and Gu Meixing.

Seeing the two of them fly into the sky, Hai Xue was shocked. "Minmin, what just happened? How come before dawn I saw something flying away?"

Gu Minxing was stunned as well. "It looked like Big Brother and elder sister-in-law."

Hai Xue spat at Gu Minxing. "What are you talking about? Is there something wrong with your eyes? Your big brother and sister-in-law can fly into the sky? You must have seen wrong; they just went out, right?"
