70s Delicate Girl: A Guide to Being a Rich Woman
Chapter 480: Clash
Xu Mumu felt a bit fearful. The blood flowing from the injured man’s leg was black, and the entire person looked weak and listless, clearly poisoned.
"Sixth, walk faster. Third, run ahead and get the antidote," the leading middle-aged man said urgently.
With the man’s command, the group quickly got busy. They didn’t seem disorganized at all; even if they weren’t well-trained, they were at least in perfect sync.
Xu Mumu noticed that they had brought out quite a few things, including gold, silver, and jade, showing a decent haul. As they treated the two injured men, they planned to continue down the tomb tomorrow to bring up more. This score would allow them to live comfortably for a long time.
Xu Mumu gripped the dagger tightly. Capturing these people alive would be challenging; she couldn’t kill them but at least couldn’t let them break their legs.
"Let’s go. They’re tired now, which is a good opportunity," Yin Yang, who had already prepared the rope, said. Once they knocked the people down, they could tie them up.
"I’ll go first; you guard them to prevent their escape," Xu Mumu said excitedly. These people were all trained fighters, and it had been a long time since she had engaged in such action, which was exhilarating to think about.
Seeing his wife so excited, Yin Yang fell silent for two seconds before nodding in agreement. Xu Mumu was strong, with sharp senses and speed. Even if those people had grenades, she could avoid them. He witnessed Xu Mumu’s speed today, and she hadn’t even run at full strength yet.
Xu Mumu and Yin Yang leisurely approached the cave. As soon as the couple showed up, the group instantly noticed them, and when they came over, weapons were already in their hands — iron rods and large machetes.
"Who are you?" The leader’s sharp gaze fell on the pair.
"Just passing by. Friends, you’ve gotten quite a haul down there. Finders, keepers, you know?" Xu Mumu replied with a bright smile.
"This little girl talks big," the man next to the leader said. His gaze swept over Xu Mumu; she was prettier than the girls they’d seen before. In this desolate place, he felt a surge of desire.
"Boss, this girl is really something." The others stared at Xu Mumu without blinking. After all, no one would come here, and besides Xu Mumu and Yin Yang, no one would know if anything happened.
"This isn’t a place you should be," the leader’s eyes remained fixed on Xu Mumu and Yin Yang. They looked harmless, but alarm bells rang in his mind. They weren’t simple. When did they show up? Had they just arrived or followed them?
Of course, no one answered his questions.
"Grave robbing is illegal; these belong to the state." Xu Mumu said, still smiling at the grave robbers. The current laws weren’t perfect, and Xu Mumu wasn’t sure if any related policies had been implemented yet.
"You stupid girl, are you looking to die? Knowing what we do and still dare to come near, looking for death, aren’t you?" The hot-tempered fifth member held a large machete, glaring at Xu Mumu with his big bell-like eyes, trying to intimidate them.
"It’s everyone’s duty to protect national property," Xu Mumu declared righteously.
"I spit." The fifth member raised his knife, intending to teach Xu Mumu a lesson.
"Get them; no news must get out of here," the leader’s face darkened. Watching the two before him, a sense of foreboding crept over him.
"Boss, catch this girl; let the brothers have some fun." Before the second could finish, Xu Mumu had already kicked him into the mountain wall, causing stones to tumble down, followed by screams of agony.
"Kill her, kill her," the leader was startled. This woman was strong, no wonder she dared to appear in front of them fearlessly.
Watching his subordinates rush forward, the leader directly lunged towards Yin Yang. This man looked like a pushover, grabbing him to threaten the woman.
Xu Mumu was not only strong but also fast. She had evolved slightly during this period, becoming even stronger and faster. Moving swiftly, Xu Mumu knocked them all unconscious in no time. As for the man trying to grab Yin Yang, Xu Mumu gave him a kick, sending him flying far enough that the dagger he carried fell out.
As he reached for the dagger, Xu Mumu was already there, picking it up. The dagger was beautifully styled, with a gemstone inlaid in the handle, making it look exquisite.
"Confiscated," Xu Mumu declared, opening and then closing the sheath before striking the leader at the neck, rendering him unconscious.
Yin Yang’s mouth twitched, not getting a chance to make a move himself.
"Hurry and check if these people carry anything valuable, and then tie them up," Xu Mumu said.
"Honey, I’ll look. These filthy men are covered in grime, having just come from the tomb. God knows how dirty they are; let me do it." Seeing Xu Mumu about to search the leader’s clothes, Yin Yang immediately took over. He didn’t want his wife touching other men’s bodies.
Yin Yang’s words were enough to make Xu Mumu pause, giving the unconscious men a disdainful glance.
"You look, then. Make sure to find everything they’ve hidden," Xu Mumu said with disgust, then went to find some rope.
As for the man’s dagger, she directly confiscated it. It looked nice, a good item for a collection and probably something the man found in the tomb.
Yin Yang nodded, "Don’t worry; I’ll make sure to find all they’ve hidden."
Xu Mumu put the dagger away and brought back the rope. Over at Yin Yang, he had found quite a lot—besides cash and tickets, he also found small valuables in gold and jade, easily hidden.
Yin Yang stripped them clean, finding not only personal items but also their weapons and shared precious large treasures. They had quite a bit that they brought out.
"There are so many things; it’s inconvenient to take back," Yin Yang said, helping Xu Mumu tie them up and feeling a bit troubled. The one with the broken arm was already bandaged, and the poisoned one’s complexion had improved, indicating the antidote worked well. As for the treasures, Yin Yang bundled them up with a cloth.
"Why not leave these things here. After all, there’s a cave, and no one would come running here. We’ll block this place up when we leave and report it when we get back," Xu Mumu suggested, not wanting to carry too much; they already had plenty.
