Chapter 100: End of the Guild Masters Meeting

"You are crazy, you know that?" The vice chairman uttered, looking at George with a stern expression.

However, George simply laughed it off,

"Hahaha!!"

It was merely a joke and everyone knew it, but if George was the type with anger issues, he would have sent John flying by now.

The vice chairman was an A-rank top stage cab and can’t compare in strength between himself and George. The difference in strength is fat as far as the start to the ground.

"It doesn’t matter what you think, John. I do my things my own way. If you see someone strong drag him before another gets there before you. This is the reason why, Integrity Guild remains undefeated till date."

While he was saying this, he turned his head to face Julius, their eyes meeting.

George deliberately did this to piss off Julius since that is how their relationship usually is.

This obviously caught Julius, knowing what George was trying to do, he fired back, "You are not the strongest guild, don’t falter yourselves. The three of us are the strongest !"

George looked perplexed, "You say what? I agree we are the strongest but amongst the three of us, my guild remains undefeated."

Julius knew that this wasn’t going to end well if the argument started. He had just been warned by the chairman so if he was to raise another fight he would surely face the mighty force of the Chairman.

The Chairman sensed his sudden rise in anger and then looked at him sideways, making Julius compose himself and reduce his rage.

"Yes good boy, keep your anger issues calm!" George uttered, mocking Julius.

This indeed entered Julius’ heart and he was ready to throw the first blow, but with the chairman next to him, before he could even throw the blow, his hand would have fallen off.

As a goal to avoid this, Julius remained calm not letting his anger take over. So he chose to use his words instead.

"Who says I have anger issues? Am I the one who destroyed their guild building not once but twice because of their emotions?" 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢

Upon hearing this, the mailed on George’s face disappeared, and now replaced with a stern expression.

This time, it was him who was angered. However, it too couldn’t do anything since the chairman was around.

Regardless, there was no way they could fight without being exposed. Even if they do it in secret to setting their differences, their talents when being used would give them out.

George didn’t utter another word to Julius and so also Julius. They had made the room awkward once more and everyone was already tired of seeing the same faces.

"Oh well, I can’t stop you," the vice chairman broke the silence, facing and talking to George."

"If you do get him in your guild, you should make sure to let me know so I can meet him."

Hearing this George furrowed, "And why would I do that? He is already registered so he doesn’t have any business with you. I wouldn’t even remember you when I get home."

The vice chairman hissed turned his head away from George to the guild master, saying, "I think we are done here. We have gotten the information George wanted to share and if you ask me which we should take as priority, it is the awakener from the characteristics guild."

Everyone was shocked when the vice chairman said this. For certain they would have thought it would be about Aegon seeing all the talk he made about him.

Yet, he chose Reynold.

While Julius heard this, he quickly shifted his gaze to the vice chairman. He didn’t say a word but displayed only an expression of being annoyed.

In his heart he thought, ’Damn bastard! Why did he have to go and bring it up again after it just died? Does he want to add me to my killing list, just like this other bastard here?’

The vice chairman shifted his gaze from the Chairman to Julius and saw the expression he was giving him.

Yet, he remains unfazed. But he didn’t keep his stare for too long as he quickly removed and landed it back to the chairman.

"Is that alright with you?" The vice chairman asked the chairman.

The chairman shifted his chair backwards and stood up, the others also standing with me, while he said, "That is fine with me."

He turned to Julius and continued, "I have already warned him so if the matter is more than he says it is, the characteristics guild will face the consequences."

The vice chairman nodded his head in agreement. He was about to speak but got cut short by the chairman who hadn’t finished talking.

"Ans also I want more information on this awakener that saved the day." The chairman turned away from Julius and faced George who was standing at the back of his seat and not in the front like the others.

"Make sure you inform me after you get him into your guild. Although from what I noticed the day I saw him, he didn’t seem like someone who works with others. Meaning he would probably want to stay on the solo part without joining any guilds."

George was stunned to hear this news and felt a bit hesitant that Aegon would probably reject his offer.

However, he didn’t show this expression but simply replied to the chairman. "Of course I would inform you. In fact my recruiters have probably met him now and are speaking to him."

The chairman nodded his head saying, "Good good, good. Keep up the good work."

The chairman left his seat and walked towards the door, his assistant already waiting while having it opened for him to leave.

Meanwhile, the vice chairman gave George a stare that felt personal. He had two things he wanted to say, the first about Reynold but the second one he didn’t get to say himself.

But, it was already mentioned by the chairman. Looking at George, the vice chairman gave him an expression that told him, even after everything he would still know when he recruits Aegon.

Because as much as the chairman is going to know, he also would know.

George understood this clearly from his expression and felt duped. The chairman had played him right into their hands..

Knowing this he took his coat off the chair, wore it properly and left the room before the vice chairman could have the chance to do so.
